THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, so we can get John Cowan back to Telluride VERY SOON!!!
Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green
I actually saw them in 2009 at the Gorge (pre-John Cowan’s return) and they were really good. Excellent musicianship and air tight transitions.
I saw Nashville Bluegrass Band at the Station Inn right before Christmas last year; they were excellent. Awesome traditional stuff. Some holiday flair. A very fun show since Stuart’s family was sitting right next to us. Talk about a bunch of dudes who know exactly what they’re doing and having fun along the way!
How about Mary Chapin Carpenter- she is touring again and has been missed!
Please bring back Carolina Chocolate Drops.
Might be price like Dolly but…The Boss! How about Bruce Springsteen in any form
How about Dr Ralph Stanley for the Sunday Gospel set
The best band you never heard of:
The Handsome Family

A couple of years ago at Folks, Jeff tweedy covered one of their songs and introduced it as “the best song ever written.” Now that’s some pretty high praise…
Furthur :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Dave Nelson Band
and, ummmm
Furthur
Probably old news, but a “too good to be true” collaboration of Steve Martin / Punch Brothers (appearing together on “Letterman” Nov. 4) would be an excellent TBF fit!!!
T-Bone Burnett was excellent at HSB. He’d might fit in at TBF as well.
March Fourth Marching band - great burning man types from Portland with crazy stilt acrobats and more.
Karen Elson - just can’t get enough of her. Really interesting artist.
The Sadies
Mavis Staples for the gospel set.
How about Larkin Poe? They are ripping it up still.
Well here’s my $.02…
Neil Young
Paul Simon
and ya know, while I’m wishin…
TOM WAITS!!! (with a nightgrass show at the sheridan…might as well wish for something big!)
Could we get an afternoon set from Elephant Revival?? and if they’re there, might as well give 'em a nightgrass show too, right?
I saw Merle Haggard mentioned before…Yes PLEASE!! (insert “finger’s crossed smiley”)
JJ Cale’s another good’un
Dawg…it was great seeing him at Rockygrass, albeit under unfortunate circumstances
Tony…missed him at RG
Dave Rawlings Machine…too much fun last year not to invite them back
Old Crow Medicine Show…let them fellas close out a night
And may we never have to go a year without:
The House Band
Tim
Leftover
Oh…and one other one…did anyone else hear that the Tom Tom Club is back at it? that could be a nice curve ball and one helluva good time!
Fistful of Mercy
Ray LaMontangue
Robert Plant/Band of Joy
Tom Waits would be awesome
Steve Martin and SCR
Yaysayer (sp?)
The Waybacks
I’ve only got two requests.
First… Wicked Messenger
Second… Leftover Salmon!
Levon Helm
Infamous Stringdusters
Mark Knopfler
David Grisman
Flatlanders
Dwight Yoakam
and all the Regulars:
Sam, John, Bela, Jerry, Edgar, YMSB, Drew, Emmylou, etc…
I’m not commenting on what he wrote, but DAMN! That’s a great mushroom you found! (in the picture) YUMMY
