I saw Tyler Florence make a rather easy hollandaise sauce today on Food Network that would work well in TP… Just need a blender which we will be packing.
So…still wondering about the numbers to plan on? 12? 50? 100? Going to run a recon with my Coleman to make sure I have the timing on the eggs. I’m only at 4600 Ft, but should be able to to figure out how things are going to work at 7500 at “O dark thirty” on Wed. morning.
I’m pretty anal, so like my lists, so…who’s doing what and bringing stuff. I’ve got the eggs, muffins, bacon & ham covered. Have heard lots of offers, but don’t need to double up. Tucon or Useless…Hollandaise? Fresh fruit would be nice and any leftovers can be forwarded to the Rumballs. Damn, after all this early stuff, hope I’m still awake for that! Shark Muffins…Got that one.
Help me put it on paper, so I’m more comfortable in us putting on a great PJ Breakfast and making this another prefest tradition.

Tucon or Useless…Hollandaise?
I’ll be busy with the bloody mary’s plus buying all the supplies for that… I need someone else to step up on the hollandaise.
I’ll be happy to make Hollandaise for the masses. :wave Will the eggs, butter, & lemon juice be provided? I’ll bring my trusty wire whip! We will need to discuss times etc. so I know when to start butter melting and egg crackin’. We should have a good amount of egg whites available. Anybody need them? Lalagay, are you doing anything that requires meringue? I hate to see anything go to waste.
:wave Egg whites are a great addition to the sourdough waffles, save em for me? I also have use for them in a couple of other recipes on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
As to your jailhouse list, I promise to bring myself, a coffee cup, a plate, and my own utensils…

Brian coming to breakfast? Useless… let me know what you need so I can have the proper ingredents. I’m certainly not the cook you are, but I can hold my own on the basics. So…You all are up in Mtn. Village? Are you planning on coming down early and cooking at the Jailhouse? Love all the help and the support. Think this is the makings of a new annual prefest event! :thumbsup
We are not the best cooks but we would love to bring some of the food needed and to pitch in, so this event happens. Just let me know what we can do. We will be hitting TP the 13th and and would be happy to bring stuff with us.

Our tentative plans are to stay the night tuesday night in TP. Ron has invited us to pitch a tent and join in. We will be in Jailhouse early to cook and I can’t wait!
Ingredients list; Butter, eggs, lemon, salt, pepper.
Equipment list; coffee, 1 metal bowl for making Hollandaise, Bloody mary, a sealable container for egg whites, another Bloody Mary, a pot or skillet with water that will be used as a double boiler to cook the egg yolks over, coffee or hot chocolate, and a heat source.
What is the plan for serving the Bennies, are we setting up chaffers?
Yep you can count on me to bring 3 dozen choc., maple bacon cupcakes…and a smile :flower
I will also bring High Altitude flour and sugar for pastry prep.
The amounts of the ingredients of course depend on the amount of folks we plan on feeding. Any idea on that? Is it possible to get a roll call started?
And on a completly seperate note, I need some help sorting out who belongs with what camp. Obviuosly Rob your in Jailhouse but, where is Ron, Hippie, Auntie Hope, etc.?

I could use some donations of large cans of tomato juice- thinking I’ll need a total of around 25-30( it would be great if I could get others to help bring about 10-15)They add a lot of weight and space to the packing so can we share the load???

We are planning on bringing at least 3 half sheet pans. Lalagay and I talked yeterday and I believe we have the equipment list worked out. I will forward you a list of what we talked about. Is your place where she is doing her cooking? We will need to work out when and where we get the equipment to you.
