Your 2011 Telluride Bluegrass Festival artist suggestion soap box...

:lol

And I thought I was the only funny one in the family.

funny how?

Funny as in “Don’t eat that chicken; it smells funny.”

Nothing funny about smelly chicken! :lol

How about, “Does this clown taste funny to you?”
Or is it just a Band of Joy

I’m very funny. You’re just punnier than me.

I just saw these girls down in Austin, TX…this was a real treat! angelic harmonies, solid original material, classic covers, and great musicianship. Check them out!

:cheers

^I have heard of them…sounds interesting

BTW, since we have Robert Plant, how about bringing him for Nightgrass to the Sheridan?!!?

justin townes earle

hope i’m not too late to the game… the announcements look amazing so far! Great Job!

my votes:
Greensky Bluegrass, Greensky Bluegrass, Greensky Bluegrass— (sure they are on all these lists, but they just write amazing tunes and rock like nobody else… they feel like TBF to me more than any other band right now. Rockygrass was cool, but they belong at TBF!)

Ray LaMontagne -----(his voice in the valley would be killer. great band right now)

Bruce Hornsby -----(solo would be amazing, the band would be great too)

Shannon Whitworth---- (she’s an angel!)

Of course, The Usual Suspects… House Band rules!

maybe give Yonder a closing set?

Thats all for now, until i think of more!
Happy Holidays!

What are the possibilities of getting the Uncle Earl girls together for a show? Their current lineup is lookin good! KC Groves, Kristin Andreassen, Bryn Davies and some other girls that I’m sure can :oconnor and :pickin.

I was just listening to their 2006 Rockygrass set…with Abigail on banjo…they can put on one helluva show!

Missed Sarah jarosz last year would love to see her.

Angel voices, sweet and pretty! :angel

ME TOO!! She is a lil powerhouse. I would love to see her again. :medal

How about a Bonnie Rait/Jonatha Brooke set? throw in a little Shawn Colvin, add a dash of Robert Plant, a smidge of Tim O’Brien, a half a shot of good ol Van Morrison(shaken, not stirred), and top it with Sam/Jerry/JohnC
I’m just sayin…

Steve Winwood?

Stephen Merritt and The Magnetic Fields.

Why did I just find out about this band?

It would be great to see Shawn Colvin and Mary Chapin Carpenter again… How about Willie Nelson- it’s been a long time 1997, I think.

I don’t understand why TBF can’t get Merle Haggard. Is there a reason?
