Hrmm…I wonder if they have tried. An evening of Merle Haggard on the Town Park stage would certainly be a treat.
:cheers
I’ve posted here several times and while I’m sure my suggestions, as everyone’s are, are looked into, and that offers are sent out and responses being waited on at this point, I just found out that two of my favorite live bands are touring this summer and they’d fit into the TBF spirit:
My Morning Jacket
and
Okkervil River
Either would be awesome Both, gluttonously, better!
Psychograss is playing at DelFest this year but I don’t know if we can make it to Maryland. They would be nice to see in the valley!
Any solid rumors?
Los Lobos
Monsters of Folk
Neil Young
…Nuff said
So, after seeing Greensky tear it up through the south last weekend, and because I generally think they’re kick ass, I am becoming their self-appointed Telluirde Bluegrass Lobbyist :evil. The 2011 lineup is already stellar, so why not turn it up to '11"?
I seriously don’t know why these guys don’t get the invite every year. They are sooooooo Telluride family, with them winning the Band Comp in 2006, They’ve played mainstage twice, they have a big CO following, and Anders joining up gives them plenty of Town Park Street Cred. So, what’s tha deal?
GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY, GREENSKY!
Here’s to that CAP’N!!! :cheers
Let’s see some Greensky added to the lineup! :thumbsup

I approve this message
I second psychograss. Daryl Angor and Mike Marshall being on site can only lead to epic jams and collaborations.
Even though I just recently posted here, I feel like I am finally ready to stop wishing for things and excited to hear about what’s actually going to go down in June! I’m looking forward to more announcements!
I always make my wife a “Telluride Training Wheels” mix with two songs by each artist, in order of the days they’re performing – I’m itching to start in on this project for 2011!
That said, even if no one else was announced I’d be very pleased
Whee!
You’re a good husband, Zack! That is the cutest thing I’ve heard in ages!!!
I too am excited to start the planning for fun to be had!
I also approve of the Mrle Haggard request. :thumbsup
I heard Tony Furtado is touring with his band this summer! How 'bout it?
I second this message. I’ve said it several times before, but I want to see Tony rock Town Park.
:thumbsup for Tony! Saw Mumford & Sons four times in 2010, thanks to TBF. How about Bobby Long for our English musical accoutrement in 2011?
I’d love to see Willie Nelson anytime, anywhere. I’ve never seen the Chieftans, and think they would be a great addition. I’ve been watching some of their collaborations with Tim O’Brien and Del McCoury and they are pretty good.
The Cheiftains with Van Morrison is “must hear” stuff. The Cheiftains have no dates booked yet for June and Van Morrison has no dates at all listed yet. hmmmmmmmm
And while we are just throwing stuff out there, how about a little Gregg Allman/Allman Bros combo?
Neil Young has no tour dates listed for 2011 either.
Just sayin’
Hey Useless, you on the crack again? :lol
While you are at it, how about Jimmy Page on stage with Mr. Plant? :cheers
