https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SctHmUDDBU8

As a result of this forum I have now bought and am listening to Greensky. Wow, I’m loving them. Now I need some more suggestions please. What other CDs should I buy before we head over for our first TBF? Thanks festivrians

Jerry Douglas - The Earls of Leicester

Hot Rize - When I’m Free

Sam Bush - anything (but especially Circles Around Me)

The Infamous Stringdusters - anything

Leftover Salmon - The Nashville Session (or anything from livesalmon.com)

Beautiful! Thanks team, love this forum, feels like I already know people. I have figured out that the line up isn’t announced till mid December or do, is that right? Not that I care in some ways, it always seems good. Loving the new music x

The full lineup won’t be announced for months to come, but they’ll start giving us a few names here and there towards the end of December.

As for other CDs to buy, I’d recommend:

Infamous Stringdusters - Silver Sky, Let it Be

Head for the Hills - Blue Ruin

Leftover Salmon - Aquatic Hitchhiker, Nashville Sessions, High Country (the newest release)

Dead Winter Carpenters - Ain’t it Strange

Sam Bush - Circles Around Me, Ice Caps (recorded live in Telluride)

John Cowan - 8,745 ft (recorded live in Telluride)

Brandi Carlile
Steep Canyon Rangers with Steve Martin!!!
Railroad Earth
more greensky
more stringdusters
wait more stringdusters
Sam Bush of course
Nickel Creek
Chris Thile
Punch Bros.
Avett Bros.

Thank you, have started listening to leftover salmon ( wow, what is the backstory to that name?) and dead winter carpenters. I’m loving greensky, will look out for string dusters. Awesome, thank you xx

Ps does anyone know how to turn my photo the right way

Leftover Salmon history

You can rotate your picture using Paint if you have Windows. On a Mac I’m not sure.

The origin of the name is exactly what that wikipedia article says it is. I’ve heard Vince say that if they knew they’d be around for over 20 years, they would have picked a better name. I’d recommend checking out their DVD, Years In Your Ears. It’s a wonderful account of the history of that band.

The Shows this past weekend at the Boulder theater were epic. With the new additions of Billy Payne and Alwyn Robinson they are on fire, and add in the High Country Horns with Steve Berlin and some great new songs. They are my favorite band to see live and I look forward to four more shows in January with Jeri in Maui. Although they came together accidentally 25 years ago for a New Years eve show they really got together picking in the town park campground and Vince still likes camping there. And may anawack you sometimes late at night.

Being from down-under, shouldn’t your photo be upside down?

Thank you team! Loved the story of the band’s name ( Salmon Heads? Hilarious) but now I get why they are leftover Salmon…it makes sense. I really hope they play, have been listening, they are great. Alas, I have no idea how to turn this photo around using an iPad, will just need to be the quirky one here…oh wait, I’ve been reading a lot of the posts on this message board. I AM CLEARLY THE LEAST QUIRKY PERSON HERE. See you all in June xx

Ps the crunchy frogs thing is just a little freaky. You know we have cane toads here? Millions and millions of them

And I just saw Steep Canyon Rangers with Steve Martin, how good are they? What a fantastic richness of talent you guys have to grace your country. Oh I’m sooooo looking forward to this festival.
