Well, we're getting close..... sorry for the radio silence!!!!

You said it Kurt. That is why the PB (TBF-RG-FF) trifecta is going to be marvelous. Kurt and I are in. Who else is coming with us. Why do 1 Planet Bluegrass festival when you can go to all 3?!

Also speculators, cross referencing the other two festivals would help in your guessing.

You guessed it?!?

They ARE booked but not all the permission slips have been returned. C’mon kids!

Too bad I live so far away from these fests . I would love to go to all three. Someday i’ll make it to Rocky Grass . JEALOUS!! :lol

Sugar, can you explain the logic? Does TBF pride itself on having a unique line up? Not trying to be clever, I’m just trying to understand. If a band is performing at another festival, are you saying TBF is less likely to book them too because we try to be a bit different? ( which makes sense). Thanks

All three are put on by Planet Bluegrass and the lineups are usually pretty different since they are all close both in location and time of year. Artists who play both usually play in different configurations, too

Not going to lie, I am disappointed in no Mumford. I was almost sure of it. Though I did get an email from them yesterday that was addressed to North American fans that said we can see them at Bonaroo or some festival in British Columbia, so that was kind of a clue that Telluride wasn’t happening. Oh well, moving on… :cheers

Thank you!

I just re-read Ferg’s list of no-shows and was pleased that the Bay City Rollers were NOT mentioned. Could this be the year my dreams come true?

Wow, that’s a lot of chatter for only 2 days! See what happens when I look away from the forum for a minute?? Good to at least get some of the "not it"s out of the way.

Gregg Allman is a possibility. He is playing the Belly Up in Aspen the Tuesday and Wednesday after the festival.

Seeing that Ferg shot down all our guesses but gave us a clue of an Austrailian band and something no one would guess. That we had Hayseed Dixie and everyone goes crazy when Sammy play that Back in Black riff. It must be time to break out the devil horns for AC/DC. Might need to bring extra ear plugs.

ACDC ( or Accadacca as we say) put on a massive show. That would be hilarious.

So Maple Al are you putting this in as a tip?

Do they know any Bluegrass?? :lol :lol :clap

“NOPE” didn’t see John Hartford in Telluride . My first T-Ride was 07’ , he died in 01’. I’ll have to go back some setlist and see who I thought I saw that’s comparable to Hartford .

i was fortunate to see paul kelly in a tiny club for his spring and fall cd/tour.
that cd is incredible

and i saw online he has another new project out now
Paul Kelly presents - The Merri Soul Sessions

he is the bob dylan of down under is the word
i would love it if he was coming or acdc :hop

JRAD would be a mind-blowing fri or sat closer

I agree, but not holding my breath … especially being that they’re basically a cover band.

Can we please bring some LORD HURON!!! It’s not too late!!!

He is super cool agree. Xavier Rudd and his United Nations tour is in North America just before TBF so he is also very strong tip

Man that Xavier Rudd TBF show years back was a mindblower.
