Weather Prediction?

Is it too early for the weather prediction? Tom?
With all the snow at my house I am hoping for warmer weather…but not too warm! :flower

Early? I normally do the weather prediction around March and April, but neglected to do so this year. :eek

I believe we will have highs in the lower 70’s to low 80’s (meaning, it will feel like 80’s and 90’s) with low temps in the low to mid 40’s.
As usual for that time of year there will be chances for thunderstorms and gusty winds, but I don’t think it will be as bad as some years (no snow or sleet).
Don’t count out the possibility of small hail on one day of the festival for a short period though. (Pea size)

As usual, bring clothing for all seasons and you should be ready for whatever comes about. :thumbsup

Sounds like a perfect weather prediction. Let’s hope it sticks.

Accuweather.com says mid 60’s highs and mid 30’s lows. I’m betting this Okie won’t be feeling so comfortable wearing shorts much!

and trust this Arizonan, 30’s and 40’s are COLD> bring winter gear everyone!

Sounds like a perfect summer day in the San Juans! :thumbsup :cheers

I agree Troutbum, the last few years have been pretty hot, I would enjoy a little cooler. :thumbsup

The festival is a week ‘early’ this year, in that sometimes the fest starts on or about June 22 and this year in ends on June 18

Plus the snow pack is good and there was late season snow as well.

It’s gonna be coldercthan usual, especially at night. I doubt the daisies, that are sometimes in full bloom at my regular campsite, will be in bloom for this year’s fest.

Bring some good socks.

Certainly not looking to jinx it, but the TBF slot in the summer calendar is by far the most opportune re: chances of good weather … just after the final turbulence of the spring → summer transition and before the monsoon season starts. I would suspect that if the town ever “auctioned off” the various weekend slots to festival promoters, the solstice weekend would be at the top. There’s no comparison between the weather on average between TBF and Blues & Brews (mid Sept) … where cold, rain, and snow are always much more distinct possibilities … along with mud & generally worse camping conditions. Jazz Fest (early Aug) actually switched to a late June date several years ago in order to try and avoid the monsoon rains which sometimes plague that festival … but they switched back to aug.

Being a week early this year could put a card into play … especially for ABACAB (or whatever it’s called  … have seen it snow 3 feet on June 6 a number of years ago.

Latest forecast is calling for 60’s during the day and high 30’s at night with great opportunities for blue sky days! :rock Time to put the gear bag together. Looking forward to enjoying every minute of it.

My phone app is showing low 60’s and some upper 50’s as daily highs next week. I know when the sun is out, it always feels warmer but this year’s forecast are as low as I’ve ever seen. Oh well, nothing an extra sweatshirt and jeans won’t cure. And, its looking dry again! Counting the hours…

Counting the hours too! I keep checking the forecast at Weather Underground every few hours. They are still showing some gorgeous weather (even if it’s on the cooler side) for early next week! It’ll be a nice reprieve from the heat and humidity that is starting to creep up in Atlanta lately. Can’t wait for sudden layering of clothes as the sun goes behind the mountain each night next week! :cheers

Yep, temps next week look cooler than the last few years. But in reality mid 60s at 9000ft in the sun feels like mid 70s. The nights are gonna be cold tho…as much as I love Town Park camping, this might make it a bit less appealing to stay out until 4am listening to music in camp.

Don’t count Colorado out yet, seems like the temp forecast always bumps up day by day leading to the fest, and beautiful weather!

Current forecast looks like upper 60s with sun during the day, and upper 30s/lower 40s overnight!

I am all for a cooler festival, but night time looks cold :eek

A bit of Yeager Meister will warm you up at night. :thumbsup

I can’t wait for this weather! Last few days its been in the 90’s during the day and 60’s at night, with almost 90% humidity.I need to be way up on the hill where they do the boogie!

The weather report looks amazing! Very stoked there is no precip in the forecast and the day time temps aren’t so high as the last couple years. Just layer up in the evenings … or hug your neighbor !! :thumbsup

I love hugs!!!
