What campground are you at?
Town Park
NO worries at all… ROFL… GLass allowed as well but not in the venue…I guess the only limit is how much you can fit in your car
Excellent. What about a Corny Keg?
fine… seriously every thing is fine
Thanks Debbie!
As Debbie says, EVERYTHING is fine. Just leave your area as it was when you got there :thumbsup
Was wondering how safe you can feel about keeping valuables in tents at town park? I recently started playing the banjo and OF COURSE I want to bring it…but i’m not sure how I feel about leaving items like these in a tent while away.
Thoughts?
Town Park is a pretty safe place during the festival. Nobody is going to try going into a zipped up tent. :thumbsup
If you need to be secure about your instrument you can always ask one of the people with campers to store it for you, or you can use the Planet Bluegrass’ instrument check.
:cheers
I believe a couple of years ago a few local (?) kids were going through town park and taking alcohol from campsites. So, I guess just keep everything out of site. Not sure that’s totally accurate. But that’s what I remember.
That has happened a few times but seems like most of those problems have happened pre-fest.
I also know some people who forgot where their imbibements went!
:cheers
I know this is a late reply to this thread however our first year we arrived Thursday night, late! We were still able to find a spot, just had to be creative. I think it’s also important to touch base with the ‘neighbors’ (if they are around) before you set-up. Everyone is always great but it’s nice to make that connection early!
There is a “breath taking” river that runs through the back side to Mary E. It’ is sure to wake you up, encourage a quick cleanse and take your breath away!!!
I might miss that…
If you’re camping in Town Park, Amanda, there is a river/creek running through there as well, and it’s just a cool and refreshing as the river at Ilium, however, I guess because of the showers in Town Park, there aren’t as many people plunging. It is nice to set your chair in that creek in a hit day and cool off, though.
My sister and I just got tickets and camping passes to Town Park. First timers and we have a few questions…
-
Town Park opens Saturday, June 15th and anyone can set up the tent/go in and hang out until Wednesday, correct? My dad might go pitch the tent for us until we can make it (do to work obligations and living across the country…Yes- I’m flying all the way back to CO just for Telluride Bluegrass!).
-
The lineup is posted, but it doesn’t have times or locations. I thought there were multiple stages? Will the times be posted at some point?
-
It seems like friends who are camping in other campsites, won’t be allowed to come hang out in Town Park during the day? Is that correct? With a Town Park wrist band, will I be able to go hang out in their campsite instead?
Thanks in advance for your advice! SO EXCITED!!

here is the lineup. One stage. There are workshops in town but no schedule posted yet. Nightgrass (late-night after the main stage) are at different venues around town and most shows are sold out. Tix can be purchased at PB website.
Dad can pitch your tent for you if you absolutely can’t do it yourself, but he will need a ticket to be in TP starting on Thursday if he plans to stay.
Friends can come to TP to visit through Wed evening but after that if they don’t have a TP or Warner Field wristband they can’t come. I think that goes both ways with other campgrounds, but not positive.
And I have a question for you: Do you know of any more Town Park or Warner Field tickets available? Some of the “historical camps” i.e. the bigger camps who host many activities, are still in need. Contact me or Debbie from Tucson if you do. Thanks!

The Town Park opens for campers on Saturday. You can come and go without a wristband until Wednesday. You can have some one go in, find a spot, and set up your tent.
-
Line up and times are here: http://www.bluegrass.com/telluride/lineup.html There is only one stage. There is a ‘workshop’ stage in center of Telluride across from the Town Hall, it’s called Elk’s Park. There are performances there daily during the day. The schedule for that hasn’t been posted. Because it’s in town, it’s free, no wristband required.

If you have a Town Park or Warner Field wristband, you can come and go between Town Park and Warner Field. If you have high school camping, for example, you cannot get into Town Park after Wednesday. You can go to the high school campground with your Town Park wristband, though.
great minds think alike Erndog! you were typing about the time I was posting. and to you :bday and :cheers
:wave Thank you, darlin’ . . . .
