Festivirgin here trying to figure out Tarp etiquette.
Do you leave a little path space between tarps for folks to walk through? Do people mark their tarps with flags etc so they can find later. Size/height restrictions on said flags? So many quesstions for us virgins, so many great festiveterans to help us! I CAN"T WAIT TO GET THERE!
Main thing…take only the space you need for your folks. Tarps cover the entire ground after the run…no grass showing. Passage to and from is hospitable and allowed. Good festivarians are aware of those around them and their possesions. (not to step on stuff, not getting in the way of their view, etc. Most all are very laid back and do to the closeness, you get to meet alot of great folks. Hope that helps.
Festival! Jailhouse Rob

Tarps are place butt to butt
there are walk ways on the edges
Open Tarps are Open to all …just make friends …

So, same as most. Just respect the fact that everybody else waants to be treated like you do…with the festivarian spirit! Great place, great music, new friends. Thanks Ron and Jailhouse Rob!
BTW…is it wrong that I am enjoying a half and half made with Guinness and Sierra Nevaada ESB? It does not feel wrong.

Sorry,pms?
I sent you a personal message …
:cheers
Yeah, the half an half has me working a little slow. I’ll give you a buzz…sort of in the next day or two. thanks.
no worries bro !
:cheers
Non here!
Although your wife may disagree, I doubt if you’re useless. :cheers
Ron’s on the nose on the stakes. You might hit an irrigation pipe. Chairs hold them down. It’s tradition and the closeness helps making and meeting new folks and friendships that can last for a lifetime.
I’ll let her tell you! :lol We have been together since 1976 (a couple of sixteen year olds), she will have some stories! Thanks though for your support Tom!
I’m with you on the stakes Jailhouse. Just did not know about any kind of ID’ing flags. We will be fine just laying down the tarp and enjoying the whole expierence. I’ve seen these back-pack chairs around, are they wworth carting on the gondola from Mtn. Village?
My brothers and I have never used a tarp, we just find one with some space and occupy it till we get asked to make room for the owners, If you don’t have a lot of people then you don’t really need one, but they are nice I’ve heard
But, you may want to stake down your ez-ups… Have seen many go flying…
You aren’t kidding about that Deb! We had a Kelty Sunshade make a guest appearance in Run A Much last year after a strong wind blew it from the Festivvvaaalll!!! field, over the fence, over the service road and then over the 6 ft. chain link fence UP ON THE HILL and into the Preserve.
Kelty or Kite I ask you? :lol :lol :lol
Newbies Take Note: Stakes for your SunShade shall be NO LONGER THAN 6 INCHES.
