I’m also going to be at Lawson Hill camping and arriving Tuesday, so I will look for the yellow balloons! Maybe I’ll put some up myself to easily identify.
Don’t forget about the Yellow Flag proper I’ll be putting up at the festival itself!!! I’m spearheading that but will certainly find Lawson Hill as well. Could you also please post a flyer (coming soon attached) at Lawson Hill about our Sober Festivarians presence at the fest and spread the word… ? That would be great !
Krenny (I’m really Karen btw
Hey friends! MaryAnn here, sober AF and celebrating 6 years on the 15th! Traveling and “festing” solo so will definitely look forward to meeting y’all. “One show at a time” - if it gets no better than this- I’ll take it!
Hey Mayran!
So happy to read your message, am sober AF as well (soon to be 13 years) and am also festing solo and committed to my SOBER FESTIVARIANS gathering “thing”!

Krenny - I can work on posting the flyer at Lawson Hill campground. If you’re able to upload it here, that works. Or you can text it to my #.
very cool of you djz124! I will upload flyer this week here…
Looking forward to meeting you and your fellow campers!

I am hoping on Sunday, but I’ll be on a 2 week road trip so totally dependent upon how much drive time I’m capable of! Coming from Pensacola FL via stops in Little Rock and Branson MO. Trying real hard to ignore the FOMO of stopping in Kansas City to catch Billy Strings Saturday night!
Camping in Old Town, first TBF so very excited! I will text you my phone #. Looking forward to meeting you!
Xx MaryAnn

Also, a friend of Jimmy K. My husband and I will definitely look for the yellow balloons, looking forward to it. Thanks for posting.
We can definitely get flyers up at Lawson Hill.
Hey ToddG…
So i bought a tall yellow flag and flagpole for the festival which i’ll “erect” and after lots of brain freeze about trying to keep the thing up, i bought 2 water bags that you can fill plus a sandbag. I purchased the car park pole so i’ll put wrap the sandbags around (they bend) and they plop the water bag on the carpark park. My genius plan. Either that or I’m holding it up all day (put the chair on the carpark and sit on it?). Have you found an other ideas! ;)e Also, i’m gonna just set the thing up in the back in a highly visible place. I can’t deal with the tarprun/numbers thing.

Tarp run is not really as crazy or difficult as it sounds! It’s actually quite fun and amusing to watch! Sounds like you have a pretty good plan. Will say, that if you get a good group together you’ll probably want to have a shade shelter in the back for comfort. Looks like the weather is going to be great, which means hot hot high altitude sun. Having a place in festival for some shade breaks is a nice thing. Maybe after day 1 you can organize the group and get a shelter inside. Everyone is going to be some of the friendliest folks you’ve ever met I’d suggest trying to meet others in your campground and form a plan. I personally like to run tarps for our camp, but lots of groups switch up their tarp runner each day. also if you have a shade shelter with straight legs, you could zip tie or duk tape the flag pole to one leg.
Hey ToddG and everyone:
Not sure they’ll let me in the festival with my Uhaul with all the stuff i have to bring On a serious note, shade sounds great but gonna take it one step at a time. I’m not camping – staying in town so setting up solo and looking for anyone who might want to help. I actually have an extra 4 day festival pass wristband and would be happy to offer that to anyone willing to do the daily tarp run for this effort. Putting this out here before i send that offer into the larger TBF universe to see of any FOB need an extra 4 day pass and wanna do service…

I have 11 copies of the campground flyer in sheet protectors to keep them out of the weather…
Krenny,
The Town Park campground has a full time campground host, that is moved out of their spot when Planet Bluegrass takes over, and they are not given passes to the festival. Every year we all pitch in and buy them a festival pass. Our camp would gladly run a tarp for you to get them a pass. We’ll be in Telluride this Friday, and could meet you in MTN Village during First Grass.
text me at 918-804-5859, I won’t be on the forum anymore once we leave today.
So excited to be donating my extra 4 day pass to the Town Park campground host per ToddG’s note! And to have a tarp runner!!!
