I’m up around you (Southern Maine) and was curious when you go about buying your plane tickets to ensure the cheapest price, or from what carrier, or to which airport, etc. Sounds like you’ve had many trips to Telluride, so any advice you could give would be great!

There’s no easy answer. I always depart Logan and have arrived in: Telluride, Montrose, Grand Junction, Durango, and Denver. They all have various drive times post-arrival with Telluride clocking at a mere 10 minutes and Denver logging 6-7 hours.
And price just fluctuates a lot year-to-year and week-to-week. Monitoring a site like kayak.com helps.

Found a flight from Boston (directly to denver) to Montrose for $311. Pretty good!

And Montrose->Telluride is just over an hours drive. Good time to pick up provisions on the way unless you’re taking the shuttle.

Actually I was at home today and called into the blah blah blah. I saw Sam Bush rip it up last night and, of course, I was ripped up as well.
