HOLY GOD!!! Allison Krauss? Yes please!!! John Prine was fantastic when I saw him a few months back. That’ll be a fantastic show for TBF. Bruce Hornsby was great with Ricky Skaggs a few years ago. That set should be fantastic! Add Marcus Roberts and it looks like we have a great year for the piano! O’Brien Party of 7! I’ve been wanting to see Mollie come back since I started going to this festival! Don’t know much about Della Mae, but I like what I’ve heard so far. I expected Del would be back this year. Same with Salmon. Still exciting to know for sure! I knew there was a reason to check the site at 1:30 this morning. Thanks PB!!!

I think most festival organizers would be satisfied with this line-up and call it quits. Fortunately for those of us planning to be back at TBF this year, we know there’s much more to come.

Wow! As usual, a great mix of known and not-known for me. Can’t wait to check out unfamiliar artists, and be “reunited” with steady favorites. What a great beginning on a chilly, rainy Northeast Ohio morning! :thumbsup

Apparently the Planet is screwing up again by not giving us any opportunity to bug out of the festival grounds long enough to change clothes, hike, or grab dinner. I respectfully demand you add a crappy band so we know when to take a break.

So glad AKUS is back!! And can’t wait to see Della Mae for the first time. Awesome, awesome artists all around. Stupendous job by the Planet again!

Excited about these… Not really any of the others, though.

Hopefully the forthcoming additions include a few of the artists I’ve been wanting to see. All of the ones I’m excited about (besides the Marcus Roberts Trio), I’ve already seen multiple times…

Same ole TBF line-up. It’s great don’t get me wrong, but no surprises so far(any one of these acts play there every other year). I’m hoping Planet Bluegrass is saving all the goodies for the official announcement. If the Beach Boys are one of those bands, it looks as if I’ll hold out until next year’s 40th TBF. Blues and Brews here I come!

I’m actually hoping for that Beach Boys announcement, and I have a few friends who might be more likely to want to go if that happens (though tickets would probably sell out before they commit anyways).

But really, Punch Brothers are my favorite band right now, and Bela Fleck my favorite musician, so as long as they are on the lineup, everything else is just gravy.

Blues is great, but, um, really?

And, may I humbly say, I hope you don’t think we’ve told you all our plans!

So you go get those blues tix and forego Bluegrass.

But, do so at your own risk. Cuz… well…

There probably is some reason that 4 day passes will be gone by 2012. I’m not sure what it is.

But, I do know, that, particularly this year, its like a whole community is clairvoyant.

Which is weird.

But, me, I’m taking the rest of the year “off”. Taking kids, mom, sister to Telluride skiing. (hey, shouldn’t I get a break on ski passes? :slight_smile: )

And, then, Mandhoe, my mission will be to turn you. :slight_smile:

BUT, I will say, our “preliminary lineup” already features more grammy nominations than any festival in the country will approach. I guess that’s not very humble.

But, I do think its a nice start, don’t you?
