Pre-fest 2010 questions

OK, I’m trying to get the activities schedule together but I’ve got some questions that need your help.

  1. Since there won’t be an oyster BBQ on Tuesday what do y’all think about a chili cook-off? Or is there another option?

  2. It was mentioned before about a pot-luck breakfast… maybe a breakfast burrito bar? Wednesday (with leftovers from the chili cook-off)?

  3. Is Bloody Mary morning Monday, or do we want to do it in conjunction with the pot-luck breakfast? (Debbie did mention that it was hectic on Wednesday).

Time is getting short and I should post the schedule soon.
Please respond with your thoughts. Thanks. :flower

I like this idea BUT most good chilli must cook for a long time- possible using propane etc?

I will be making and bringing Choc. Bacon cupcakes to my TP friends again this year.

I’m thinkin Warner needs some tradition too… :huh

Here are my mostly-useless comments/questions:

  • I agree with Debbie…chili may be too involved (cooking time or otherwise) to achieve sufficient participation.

  • Bloody Marys on Monday sounds delightful.

  • I like the idea of a breakfast burrito bar. I think it will be less effort for all involved than last year’s eggs benedict which frees everyone up to have fun.

  • A pancake breakfast may be a fun/delicious/easy idea.

  • Are we doing a big bacon order through Debbie again?

  • Has Steamboat Crossroads checked in? Are they doing the big Tuesday night punch thingy this year?

Green chili or cowboy chili…?

do you have to be a town parkee to join in the fun? i stay in town with a friend and feel like i might be missin out on some chances to meet festivarians. can i visit town park during the festival?

Everyone is welcome to partake in the Festivities until late Wednesday evening :thumbsup

:peace

Are we doing a big bacon order through Debbie again?

I was wondering about that???

I know - how about a BACON buffet…? LOL A potluck made up of all sorts or bacon creations…

I fixed your post.

OK, no chili cook-off then. Any ideas for a Tuesday replacement for the oyster BBQ?

Bloody’s - Monday
Pot Luck breakfast burrito bar/pancakes - Wednesday

:pig :pig :pig :pig

Thanks Dustin.

Fried Turkeys?

or just an old fashioned style BBQ meal- burgers, hot dogs, corn, brats, ribs???

I think we will save the turkey fry for maybe next year
I am bringing the side box smoker …so we could do a BBQ
:cheers

This makes me miss you guys so much… :frowning:
Last year was so much fun!
:hug

OK, so I guess it looks like this:

Monday 10:30 AM - Bloody Mary’s.

Tuesday 3:00 PM - Old Fashion BBQ at the Jailhouse

Wednesday 10:00 AM - Pot Luck breakfast Burrito bar

The entire schedule will be posted later this week. :cheers

:festival They don’t want it published

You are so cool T Tom :peace

Old Fashion BBQ

You got me a little worried now since I suggested this… Anyone else want to give some feedback…LOL…

Not to worry Debbie, I talked to Jailhouse Rob and he agrees.
If there are people opposed to this then I’ll reconsider. :cheers

We’re still doin’ the Goddess Walk About on Sunday - afternoon sometime - as in time to be determined by a collection of goddesses when they are ready, when they damn well please. Location, who knows, where ever they gather. They plan to festivate and frolic - ball gowns and prom dresses, tie dies and tennis shoes, feathers and glitter, whatever floats your boat. Camp gifts for those who offer homage to the goddess. You’ve been so very good to be so very bad.

I have a few new recipes for this year too!
