I’ll tell you a little story about why I want to see Ray LaMontagne so badly. I was at Bonnaroo (for the first and probably last time) when he played there a few years ago. I desperately wanted to see his show, but my feet were so torn up from walking around the festival all weekend that I couldn’t hobble over to the Which stage fast enough to make his set. All I could do was stand in the field between the two main stages and listen from afar. Sad, no?
SO excited that he’s finally touring again and is coming to play for us in Telluride!
Wow! I must say I don’t know how I’m gonna do this yet but I’m fitting each set into my equation. :medal
Frank and The DK! Smokin hot ! :burn
Stellar. OK count down now, and thank you for always giving me a place to look forward to that not only nourishes me musically but almost in every way that is important. :medal
I need some sun and a lawn chair and a cold Ale :cheers Stellar :flower
You finally got Isbell, congratulations Planet Bluegrass! Ray Lamontagne is an interesting addition, should chill Linds out finally. Fuck beans, I won’t be able to make it this year. Definite FUN involved for all those going! Where are the Dusters?
I’m loving that Del will be playing both Thursday and Sunday. That gives him plenty of time to play a few songs with guys like Sam and Salmon. Good call! And Brandi Carlile closing out Thursday night is excellent! And Sam into Salmon was the perfect 4 hour jam-fest last year. Excited to see them do that again with Bill Payne back in the mix!
The thing I really hate about this lineup is it’s hard to spot an obvious day when I’ll be able to ditch out and spend half a day running in the mountains.
Worst line-up yet (as far as being able to plan showers and dinner at the tent and getting downtown to a workshop or 3 and fly fishing and napping). But other than that, wow.
I think Isbell is gonna be the big surprise to a lot of people. What a great writer and performer!
People here will love Isbell’s Southeastern album if they haven’t heard it. His show is probably a 50% rock show though, as he does play a lot of his older stuff from the Drive By Truckers. Expect a lot of folky acoustic as well as loud rock. You will have fun.
