Sounds good. Thanks for the info.
I too was thinking about putting the boys on ice delivery detail, if that’s what you meant by camp runner.

Just picked up a solar charger today, and pretty stoked to use it! Outside of all our food and all our booze, most of which we will pick up locally, we are all geared up, packed away and ready for noon on Friday to begin the two day 15 hour journey to Mary E, and the Festival!!! Skyrunner, you may want to talk to my son and his girlfriend about being tarp runners. I can’t speak for them, but I bet they could be bribed! They are 20 and 18 so they could be way into it, not sure!
kmiddl2 had expressed interest in a Mary E Craft Brew share event in Mary E Campground. What if we shoot for around either 3pm on Wednesday as a pre-party for Firstgrass, or a midnight rager post main stage on a night collectively we aren’t headed for nightgrass shows. For me Friday is the best midnight rager night. What do yall think? I’d be open to mornings too, but most times I plan to be out of camp by 9am. I’d also be down for Tuesday evening, but wanted to be open for more people coming on Weds.
We’ll be bringing about 20 bottles and cans of various sizes from Oklahoma Breweries. About 5 of those I plan on taking to the Town Park Beer share on Tuesday at noon.
If anyone has beers they like from OK you can’t get let me know.
I also say no matter what we have a Mary E Pre-firstgrass party, to get to know each other and head up to firstgrass together!
I think we’d be up for a craft-brew share, but we will be rolling in on Tuesday night, and then will be out of camp fly fishing and/or hiking most of the day on Wednesday, pre-FirstGrass. If you guys decide to have a beer share rager one night, we’d be in. We’re driving in from Chicago, lots of great brewery choices (beyond the obvious ones). Maybe we even throw a little pickin in to go with the drinkin.
Hello!! :wave Elena and Donna from Oakland, California, driving to Colorado through LA, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, and Mesa Verde! (Wish us luck!!! :lol)
First festival and we’re super excited! Looking forward to Brandi Carlile, Lindsay Lou and The Flatbellys, Parker Millsap, and Dispatch, plus getting to know new bands we are unfamiliar with! Also looking forward to meeting all of you Festivarians! :cheers
Still in for craft brew share. Wednesday pre-firstgrass sounds great to me! We’ll be riding that morning and will definitely be in need of some good cold brews by then.
So excited to head out on Tuesday after work! Have everything bought but the food and booze! Ready to get festy!
Howdy!
This will be my boyfriend Bobby and my first year at TBGF, driving over from Salt Lake City on Thursday. I recently moved to Utah by way of New England, where Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival was one of my favorite events of the year! Super excited to finally make it to Telluride - it’s been a dream for years!
See you all soon!
Alex
Rental car loaded down, we’re leaving innerwebs land and headed for reality, or something likie that. See you all real soon! :wave
Not far behind ya. :cheers From the looks of this thread, it’s going to be a great year SEE YOU ALL REAL SOON!!! :concert
We are down for the pre-fest beer share too. We have some excellent breweries here in central Arkansas, with some yummy summer beers. Think blueberries!!!
Aslo, we have a parking pass. Will we be parking and camping together? How does that work? And the showers are in town right? Just want to get my plan of action ready and set.
Yes, with a vehicle pass you will be allowed to park and camp at the same spot. As far as I know, the public showers will still be in town at the high school. The pre-fest beer share sounds fun. :cheers Sounds like I need to throw in some homebrew to share. :thumbsup
Is the Friday midnight craft beer swap meet still going on? Is there a meeting location?
Hey Everyone! This is my first time at the festival.
I’m camping at Mary Ilium and don’t have a car pass. I don’t need my car at the camp site but am wondering if we’re allowed to drive in to drop off our stuff or if we have to pack it all in and out?! thanks!!
:wave All you Ilium peeps rock!!! I met many of you from the forum, and some that might be lurkers. The vibe was supper chill, jams throughout the camp every night, with a dash of party, and a huge dose of nature. But best of all when it all settled down we had peace and silence apart from the natural world. I’ve been to festivals all across this land of all calibers and genres, and will say my camping experience for 9 days with my fellow Iliumariums was probably the best festy campy ever. Party, sleep, kindness!!! What else could you wish for! Ross, James, Adam, Jeff, Ward, Naomi, Devin, Misty, Josh and Angie, Aaron, and so many more that I can’t name in my drunk remembrance. :thumbsup Oh if you met us, right now today is Monica’s B-Day so Happy Solstice all! See you next year! If anyone wants to combine camps and food, resources etc… let us know, we’re down for Ilium again! :cheers
Besides the wet heat, the thing I’ve been noticing is how far away the stars seem tonight.
