Beer Tasting in Town Park 2018

This is a great idea. For the cost of all the bottles I brought this year, I could have brought two kegs. Of course its a bit more difficult to score a keg of some of these “one off” brews or limited brews, but I’m certain I could come up with a 5 gallon keg of something special from one of my local breweries. Not sure whats been happening in your areas but craft beer is exploding in Oklahoma. In Tulsa alone we now have more than 10 breweries in production, with more in the works. Most of them are within walking distance of each other and make for a great day of tap room crawling.

If a craft brew kegger party were to really take off what all would we need? I can probably get my hands on a CO2 draft system, or just bring a hand pump or two. Would it be kosher to meld the beer event with another event? I had to be semi strict with my mid-day beer intake to remain somewhat responsible for the rest of the afternoon, but could ramp up my intake levels if it was later in the day. I really enjoyed having events at the waterfall, such a peaceful place to gather, with decent shade.

My favorite local beer comes out in late October/November its a black IPA made by Marshall Brewing Company called El Cucuy. I’ll see if I can get a keg, shouldn’t be too difficult.

I thought that was a great way to kick start the Fest and I got to meet so many new folks and taste some really good Beers.I wanted to contribute however, so a great idea and I am surrounded by Micro Breweries.

I have everything we’d need for 2 kegs at a time! 2 tap jockey box (no need to keep the actual kegs super cold) and a co2 tank. Let me know if this goes down and we can plan.
