Beer Tasting in Town Park 2018

Awesome! Most of what I’m bringing are Stouts, Dark Ales, and Belgium styles aged in barrels of various kinds. I love the huge variety in todays beer market, and look forward as always to tasting new brews!

I’m assuming you need some international tasters???

Of course. Won’t compare to triple x.

TRIPLE X, TRIPLE X?

Good god man, it is 4X

And why is our most popular beer called XXXX?

Cause we can’t spell BEER

Sorry about that should have known 4X. My buddy always brings some with him when he visits.

let us know if you need a hand (camp tunetown) setting up, tasting and/or striking. :cheers

So I am very interested in taking part…if I buy a growler or 2 for filling at local beer pub/brewery… Can they be amber glass? Is glass allowed? Would it be better to just get a 12 pack of shiner bock or st. arnolds before I leave southeast tx. Can these be in bottles?
Also at mary e for my pwrsonal cooler I can have bottle beer?
Thanks , sully

I’m pretty sure that Warner Field is the only campground that restricts glass containers. :cheers

Thanks, Mayor T.Tom
Just what I needed to hear! :cheers

:wave Hey all, I’ll try and bring a few snobby tasting glasses I believe they are 4oz glasses. But, if anyone else has a few extra they could bring, or best yet if everyone who’s bringing beer, brings they’re own tasting glass, that’d be great. :cheers

I have my cup ready :cheers

I only have one batch this time, my Halter Top Lifter, a Scottish Ale. :cheers

I see we’re all using the same emoticon for this thread…I’ll break the trend with a tribute to Hugh Hefner: :pipe

So excited for this! This is my first year doing TP!

Wife wants to come down on Wednesday… but my last day of work in CO is June 15 (moving back to Boston after TBF)…

i’ll Be heading down solo on either Sunday or Monday to set up camp and would love to participate in the beer tasting… I was thinking of bringing two growlers from our valley in Vail… Does anyone have any requests from Vail Brewing Co, Bonfire Brewing, or 7 Hermits?? I was thinking either a Pete’s Stash Pale or Gore Creek IPA from VBC, and maybe a blonde from Bonfire, but if y’all have any special requests, I’m happy to oblige… :cheers

:welcome Vailian!

Come Sunday or as early as possible. Much fun is had in these pre fest days :hop :woohoo :pickin :horsey

Hey P, if/when I find my way out of the woods, me & Todd will show up somewhere near you. :cheers

Really looking forward to all the killer brews being brought and the mid day drunkeness that is sure to happen because of it! I think we’ll have a wagon to haul the recycle with, everyone should bring a big water bottle to rinse their glasses with, and drink from if you need, and yeah we all need it!

ToddG - we can provide a five gallon water jug for rinse water and use our compost buckets for swill. I’ll bring what taster glasses I have accumulated from Blues & Brews Fest the last two years plus plastic festi-cups. We have recycle and trash containers we can pull from our camp plus offer two large (72-qt size) coolers with ice to keep the beer share hoppy goodness chilled. We can provide a 10x10 pop-up if needed as well.

:cheers
