2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival - What NEW Acts would you like to see perform?

:thumbsup

http://youtu.be/iYgId1baqWg bringin me to my knees.

I second whoever put up the Sugar Man, Rodriguez. I bet he would not have too much trouble finding a backup band here.

:cheers :thumbsup

Saw the O’hellos at the bluebird in Denver, THEY ARE AMAZING!!.. met their grandparents and other family memebers that drove from Texas to see them for the first time out of state, Very down to earth!! … would LOVE to see them perform in telluride… I am positive they would fit in well!! :thumbsup … :cheers

I finally have sound! Now I can listen. It’s like torture not to have sound!!! Ready to dig in :medal

Traditional old time feel :medal

For that afternoon, feel-good, Brett dennan-type acy, Ryan Montbleau would be quite nice

Their not a new band but i would love to see Old Crow Medicine Show back . And i missed Steep Canyon Rangers this year . MY FAVORITE BAND right now . I hope they play again in T-Ride!!

Just saw Harpeth Rising (named for a river outside Nashville) at the Fox Valley Folk Festival, a great little fest every Labor Day weekend about an hour and a half west of Chicago. Perfect day, fantastic fest. The biggest surprise was Harpeth–I kept thinking I bet we see them on the stage at Telluride in the next couple or three years. Their 4th CD is due out next month; they have an interesting group; fiddle, cello, banjo, and percussion, and they all sing great harmony.
Plenty on youtube to check out:

They can all play. And sing.

They’re a very different group, but seeing them reminded me of when I first saw Trampled by Turtles and thought, they’d fit right in at Telluride. And now they’ve been there twice!
So much incredible music out there. It always lifts me spirits to discover a great new band.

I keep forgetting to post this!

I’ve now seen Susan Gibson in concert 3 times and think she would be great at T-ride. She is a fabulous writer (wrote the Dixie Chicks’ Wide Open Spaces) and really has a great stage presence (she’s hilarious and an extremely good story teller).

Blitzen Trapper would be cool, too. I’ve been really getting into them lately.

I definitely 2nd this!!

Foghorn Stringband out of Portland, OR. Fabulous oldtime band Saw them down here in Asheville earlier this year and they stole the show

Sounds really good :medal Love the ring of her voice in there. :flower

Nice! They definitely look the part of a bluegrass band too.

YES !! FOGHORN STRINGBAND!! Also , have you guys heard of this band ?:http://audiotree.tv/session/the-giving-tree-band/ . Would fit nicely in T-ride

I don’t know if they played already but a grate headliner would be Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Also Phil Lesh and Friends would be a grate headliner. :wave

EdwardSharpe&MagZeroes were fantastic–they played main stage in 2010 I believe.

I think on a lazy Sunday, like about Brunch time, Santana. Crazy good, full sound, and makes you want to lay back and groove at times, jazzy and other tunes make you want to sway your hips. Feels like Sunday goovin to me. :flower
