Last year at Delfest Keller Williams played with Jeff Austin and I think the bass player from String Cheese Incident. They played almost entirely Grateful Dead songs bluegrass style. I’m not a big Keller fan but this set was incredible! I’d really like to see this same lineup again.
Another one that’s been in the back of my mind is Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers… Get a little of that southwest flavor up in here.
The Official website does not list Bela Fleck and the Flecktones…did I miss something??? I could have swore that they were originally announced. :huh
Also…aside from Railroad Earth & Cornmeal…this festival is in some serious need for some “jamgrass” or some polyethnic slamgrass!–Ala SCI or Leftover Pleeeeeease! :wave
That’s weird – it used to. Maybe it got accidentally removed when Mumford & Sons got added? (I think they were relatively in that spot on the list).
Either way, Bela is still part of the house band, so he’ll be there.
Either way?!?!? That’s no way to talk, now is it? We need a solid FLECKTONE infusion @ 2011 FESTIVAAAL! :vibes Been missing them… :sorry
True - no way to talk indeed! I retract and apologize for my pessimism.
Z
What are you thinkin Z! :lol
WE need and want the Flecktones.
I really enjoy Bela but last year I felt he was slippin away and becoming to abstract for my taste.
I Love the way he streches himself and goes where no Banjo has gone before :lol
BUT…The Flecktones give Bela a lil bit o cool.
Just my personal opinion here.
I need the whole pkg. this summer. Anyway, I miss their smiles and energy they bring to fest. I want to hear Futureman sing again :flower
BTW, they are back on the list now.
Whew!
Trampled by Turtles should scratch that itch for you.
:thumbsup Yes, they are! :thumbsup
You’re forgiven ZA. :flower Waiting for more scrollage with frozen brain/body parts etc. is more than some of us can handle. That is why we have this forum!! :medal
Mr. Herman’s GAT tour schedule has him in Cali on Friday 6/17…doesn’t bode well for us PolyEthnicCajunSlamGrass fans. :swearing :sick :sorry But I agree, these Minnesnowta boys (TBT) will do all they can to help out! :cheers
Yeah…I have a hard time believing Vince will not be in Telluride SOMETIME that weekend.
::Matty crossing his fingers and toes:: :lol :thumbsup
Vince Herman is a true living legend! I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him when GAT opened for Railroad Earth through the SW last month and GAT is a great band. I hope that Vince will appear in Telluride at some point this year.
I’m hoping for another female singer anouncement!
Of course, we already have Emmylou, but the lineup is mainly male dominated so far…
SO, who’s it gonna be?!?!
You know I would do anything to have Alison Krauss back, with her new album coming out!
Crooked Still would also do the trick :thumbsup
Joni Mitchell, now THAT would be amazing!
Alicia Nugent, yes please!
Laurie Lewis, for old times sake…
Come on PB, I’m dying to know!
Their latest announcement was Abigail Washburn so that ought to tickle your fancy!
I can’t imagine Allison Krauss won’t be there singing with Robert Plant…she’s gotta be getting her own set as well.
Flecktones are back.
It was accidental. Sorry for the confusion. :flower
4 out of 5 so far! :thumbsup :medal
Let’s finish this off by adding Greensky - purty please? :lol :medal
:wave Been admiring this wonderful lineup PB is constructing and just swondering if Jerry will have his own set? Can’t get enough JD. :medal :medal :medal
For the love of Angels, what’s it going to take to ever get the Wailin’ Jennys? Look at that tour they’re doing now…clearly they love CO (and CO loves them!).
Oh sure, the Sarah announcement rocks my socks off, but is it a crime to want more angels to sing to me?
How about David Lowery? Excellent new solo album, and maybe he could team up with some of the guys from Leftover Salmon for some of the “O Cracker, Where Are Thou?” numbers. And he could play some of his Ironic Mullet country renditions.
I’ll second that Wail…bring the girls to Telluride
