It should come as no surprise, but I ran into “Fingers” and Dave from Yonder Mountain String Band at the Nickel Creek concert last night. Very cool, down-to-earth guys. Though their styles couldn’t be more different than Nickel Creek, it’s cool to see them appreciating talented musicians when they pass through the area. I also saw them at Bela Fleck and the Flecktones a few years ago, too. I didn’t bring up Jeff leaving, but am looking forward to the Conference Center show on Wednesday night in Telluride!
Cool! I never run into anybody at those things. It was a pretty great concert, though.
I’m with you Linds! All of my friends have great stories and I’m just never in the right place at the right time. The show was wonderful though, they sounded beautiful. And that southern opener, very entertaining. My hair doesn’t hold a “stitch of curl” since I moved here either! :lol
I laughed so loud at that phrase. I’m not quite from the “deep south”, but the Secret Sisters sounded a lot like home. They seemed like the kind of girl friends you could just sit and gab and laugh with all day. Their music was awesome, too!
