Who's missing in this line up for 2011?

Wouldn’t think it’d be a fit but latest cd Fixin’ to Die I’m thinkin’ G.Love and Special Sauce. Check it out.

Crooked Still Crooked Still Crooked Still! :flower
And Alison Krauss…

Just realized there is no McCoury representation on the bill. This must change!!! Del with the boys is always a great show, and the boys are doing some awesome stuff as the Travelin’ McCourys (saw them at Harvest Fest last fall with the man of constant sorrow Danny T on guitar, which was BA) so they should definitely be there in some form or another.

Love the Crooked Still nominations, still holding out hope for Steve Martin w/ SCR and am always on board for a Leftover Friday night with King Sam I on fiddle for the bulk of the set.

I also think that Jean Luc Ponty could make some heads explode.

:thumbsup

Johnny C… :cheers

Hopefully, your case of temporary insanity will pass quickly :thumbsup

Would love to see David Grisman added!!! :pickin :pickin :pickin

Well, you missed him. It was 5, 6 years ago and he was with Stanley Clarke and Bela Fleck and my head did explode. :huh

Lots and lots of really good suggestions!

It seems as though PB spreads out the love amongst their four fests with little duplication between. Some notable exceptions (Tim, Sam, Peter) of course. But Grisman, Darol Anger, Del McCoury, and Steve Martin are all booked at Rocky Grass. That kind of leads me to believe they won’t be at TBF.

I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

Oh, I didn’t miss him. I just finally got around to getting the pieces all put back together again, so it seems as though it is time for another explosion! :sunshine

Man I keep forgetting about the Rockygrass lineup! :argh

Allison Kraus would be a awesome treat, especially a sit in with Good ol’ Mr. Plant. But I would love to see another Minnesota band, Pert Near Sandstone. Really good stuff, if you haven’t heard of them. But I bet you guys have. Here is a video, kind of bad quality, but good sound. Hope you all enjoy. :cheers

Pertnear Sandstone is entered in the troubadour contest. I just recently spoke to J and they are super excited to be joining their MN bluegrass brotherhood, Trampled By Turtles. :thumbsup

But I would really LOVE to see Gillian Welch return with Dave Rawlings. Since their good friends, Old Crow will be there. And I’m dreaming of a Larry Keel and McGraw Gap reunion. I doubt either will happen, but oh well.

I’m glad Pert’ Near Sandstone is playing in the band contest, but I think they only get 3 songs or something? Have to follow them around as I’m sure they’ll be playing a bunch somewhere…

Saw the Dave Rawlings Machine last year at Delfest (with Gillian Welch) and it was really good. Pretty mellow, which usually isn’t my style, but really good. It would be fun to see them with Old Crow.

The lineup is pretty stacked already, but one more sweet band could never hurt!

Wow! This is amazing! Just when I couldn’t think the music could get any better. So pumped for this fest! :cheers

Nobody is missing. Johnny Cowan will be missed however. The really nice thing is, there is always next year. I love sayin that. Nice to know … :flower

I’ve got to say I am super stoked on pert near and trampled. I have been making trips to Minnesota for a couple years now to see these guys, and i could not be more excited for them :thumbsup
