Johnny C the main man with the golden vocals :medal :medal Excellent line up PBG! :medal

Would still love to see greensky bluegrass, elephant revival, leftover salmon, and cheese. That said, this is already a very, very fantastic start.

:eek Holding my breath until I hear that we’ll hear :vibes J.COW in the canyon this June… :lovedr…!

(and I see a 6/17/11 GAT gig in Cali on the schedule…NO VINCE @ TBF? :frowning: )

I’ve been thinking the same thing, Landshark. As good as last year was, Johnny C’s absence was definitely felt.

Listen kids, I’ll find out more on February 9th from Johnny C. on his T’ride status for this year, or Planet Bluegrass will let us know as soon as they can! Hang in there!

Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green

:cheers Thanks Hope!! :cheers

:wave OK, I’ll hang. No more breath holding for now… :flower Thanks Hope :medal… :cheers

I will 2nd all those choices bluegrassboy. Would absolutely LOVE to see SCI back up at Telluride!

SCI!!!

BTW, John Prine is doing some dates with Emmy Lou, soooooo do the math! I would absolutely LOVE to see John in the canyon this year!

How about Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers I saw them at Merlefest last year and they were great. Steve is still hilarious, too!

I would also like to nominate The Duhks, with Sarah Dugas as their new fantastic female lead singer, and Bearfoot, with their new tall, blonde lead singer, Odessa something or other. She has sung with Chris Thile at other festivals.

There’s also a female trio named Red Molly that would be wonderful at Telluride.

My mind goes blank, but I’ll add others later.

I’ll throw out:

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers
Spring Creek Bluegrass Band
Crooked Still
… and … Bonepony (tho I heard there was some kind of ‘situation’ that transpired after their first appearance at TBF)

John Prine would be epic. I’ve never seen him and I don’t know why.

The folks at the Planet love to tease and we will see trickels of lineup additions as the weeks creep slowly by.
It makes winter come to a crawl!

Torture, pure torture. And they love it, wise guys. :festivarian

Pullin for Johnny C!!! :medal

Completely forgot about Johnny C in my first posting. I also second, third, fourth, and fifth that suggestion. Would also love to see “the wild and crazy guy” with SCR. I will blame my thoughtless omissions on winter cabin fever! :eek

Definitely Johnny C. I know he reads this forum so…HI JOHN!

Also I’m always a huge pusher for Robert Earl Keen.

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers have been announced for Rockygrass this year! :medal

Of course you know my opinion about John.

And Dave and Anders of GSBG wanted me to let you know that they would LOVE to be welcomed back to the valley, especially since the 'dusters will be there. Get Burle and have a Wayward Sons reunion. :medal

Oh the late-night pickin that would be if those guys are all there!

Greensky + Stringduster’s: That would be AWESOME!!!

Crooked Still and the Stringduster’s are a pretty good match too :flower

Oooooooooh the Nightgrass possibilities make me tingle with excitement! :eek :lol

Me and Dayton nodded heads in agreement with the Rodrigo y Gabriela suggestion :thumbsup

Yipee, I’ve noticed as I go through these posts today that 2 other people besides me have mentioned Red Molly. Hope someone is looking into this hot trio of ladies who bring home some serious music!
