Yes but,do you like bacon?
To those you who saw Greg Brown last Folks Festival, and were like me and thought his set list was filled with depressing/country going to hell/dark songs, you will be happy to know that he is playing a little more upbeat setlist now. By upbeat, I mean happier/uptempo/fan faves. I saw him in Austin at the Cactus Cafe a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome! He’d be a great Folks Fest re-tread.
Who knows, maybe he didn’t catch any fish before his Folks appearance last year?
Maybe we should show em where the best fishin holes are…there’s a good thought.
I listened to an CD today by Tim Easton, The Truth About Us today and thought what an addition to Folks he’d be. I saw him at the Austin City Limits Festival a few years ago and really enjoyed him. He has that Dylan, Prine vocal thing going and writes some great songs. :thumbsup
Regardless of his setlist, I will be very, very happy when I see Greg Brown on the lineup for this year’s show. GREG BROWN. Please.

Some of these might stretch the “folk” category, but that gets me wondering, what exactly makes a performer or song “Folk Music?”
And can somebody clue me in on camping onsite? We are getting the camping passes, but what’s this about needing to be there early on Thursday to line up for a site? We are coming from the east coast (Crozet, VA) by way of a wedding in Wisconsin and are kind’a pressed for time.
Thanks! Can’t wait until August!
Felice Brothers would be a good addition. Good call.
