Who has arrived home?

Hey. I’m home. Who else has made their way back to the “real” world? Thanks to all my festi-family for 10 days of smiles. So, who wants to do it again next year? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Home Safe and Sound…“Patron” The Pachyderm by my side
Praying for a safe Return for all
Thanks to all for making our Anniversery a Wonderful Day/2 weeks …
:cheers

Just got home. Much love and hugs to Planet Bluegrass and my festi-family for making this another wonderfully magical year.

Home at 4PM today. Spent the last night at Bear Creek Lodge in the Village. Was great to get a real bath and a bed!!! BAck to work tomorrow BOO HOOOO

Got home at 6:30-ish tonight after a gorgeous drive.

Rolled in around 9pm tonight. I pulled off about 70 miles north of Flag and took a dirt road that wound up a butte. I sat on the edge of the cliff and watched a stunning sunset scatter light across the sandstone with a nice silhouette of the San Francisco Peaks in the back ground. Home. Feels awesome. In the last 30 days I have been home 6.

Thanks to everyone for bringing your talents, gifts, verve and sparkle to festival this year.

Now, does anyone wanna come over and unpack my crap?

Made it home about an hour ago after a 14 hour drive. It was great seeing everyone again this year. What a wonderful thing Telluride is every year. I love you guys.

Got into my pad about 1:30am EST Tuesday.

The party isn’t stopping! Wednesday eve I am hanging out with The Duhks at my friends place nearby and then on Thursday we are seeing them play. :hop :hop :hop

Come over!

got home at about 8:30 this AM

Got home to a quarterless shower yesterday afternoon, and it feels like summer has finally arrived, although it is “snowing” cottonwood seeds today. A friend told me that TBF is the stabilizing element in his chaotic life. I like that, to meet new friends, see old friends, walk my path through the changing, same-old-place. I ache in places I didn’t know I moved, and I don’t see the snow on the mountain tops. The garden is happy to get a drink. TBF gives me time to think and “Its all good”.

Hi everyone!

Got back to Indiana last night at 10:30 pm, stepping out of the airport into a very balmy 80 degrees! I’m not in the mountains anymore, Toto!

Thank you all for such a wonderful festival! I miss you all so much already :flower

Won’t be home till next Monday, but I’m currently visiting friends in OK, and will be in Omaha for the weekend, then it’s back to the Great White North and working on the edge of the world.

I got home yesterday around 5 but didn’t want to turn on my computer cuz I knew I’d be on it for hours! Set up the rocking chairs in the yard; just couldn’t stay inside, enjoyed a cocktail while I watched a couple of great horned owls who have taken up residence in the field. Unusual to see them in the evening like that.
Had a nice lunch at Smugglers after the load-out, and that lunch included a very nice conversation with none other than Mr. Sammy Bush. He had his young nephew Alex with him, and it was Alex’s first time to Telluride. Sam said he told Alex to look out the window this morning and tell him what he sees. Alex said “not much” (as far as people) and Sam told him “well, that’s what it’s like here when it’s not festival”. I asked Alex if he’d had a good time and he just grinned and said he’d definitely be back. They were fixin’ to take a gondola ride and enjoy the beauty that Telluride has to offer. Much more to the visit than that, but I’ll keep it short.
Thank you my beautiful family, for keeping the magic alive. It was fantastic, and I’m still on that high that is Telluride.

Home to Taos last night around 6. I’ve got two days to unpack the car, do laundry and check emails before I leave for San Francisco for the weekend. God, I love summer! Thanks to everyone (I don’t remember most of your names) for a memorable two weeks. Especially you, Hooch. Did you really kiss me on the lips? Did I kiss you back?

Hell… he kissed me on the lips too !!
:cheers

:evil me too, and you too Ron, and well, let’s just say there was much festi-love going on, and A.J. you do have a nice …, well, you know. I almost forgot about that until you reminded me. :lol :lol

Yup…I’m home, and already off to work in tall buildings. Tough trip to return to reality from, being a first-timer. And who’d a’ thunk that David Byrne would provide this bluegrass snob’s most memorable big-stage moment…well, alright, the House Band was okay too. I was fortunate enough to live in Town Park for five days, sharing all sorts of things with kids half my age. Guerrilla performance by Oakhurst at 4am ten feet from my tent!! Run, Run, Run, Run! Muppets all around me! The sublime music of Pete Kartsounes luring me to the Tiki Bar. But mostly, when I think of Telluride I’ll remember a little boy (I’m using his picture as my avatar) whose boundless joy was a thing to behold. See you again Caleb!
