I thought that I had enough music festivals and shenanigans lined up before Telluride to keep my FestiFever at bay. But, noooo, I’ve got it bad this year. Can’t wait to see you all. :cheers
One thing I like about typical TBF lineups is theres always a higher number of women artists than the average festival! Also from what little I could tell from past announcements seems like all the times it went more than a week into March it was due to finalizing a big act!! Your AK dreams or Dolly dreams are fine by me!

Festival is coming, do you think it’s Billy Strings? The popular vote is for him to be there but it’s hard to see how he can get there given his touring schedule.
On the other hand they could definitely get Willie there with AK.
I would love to see Rhianna Giddens with her new band, wow she is good.
We do this every year, speculate and fantasise, it’s so entertaining, I love the way PB holds back the final line up.

this is a good schedule but I am a little disappointed. I was hoping for ISD, Billy Strings, etc.
Same. Smokies woulda been nice too.
Last year the smokies weren’t on the main stage but they did Firstgrass, a set at Elk’s Park, and a Nightgrass set. Crossing my fingers for a similar deal this year. I do agree that they should be on the main stage though!
there’s always the slight possibility the Dusters, or Billy Strings could be a nightgrass show.

Yeah for Billy, but the Dusters have a break in their schedule so I’d put them a bit higher … maybe 1 in a thousand talk

Sad news everybody. I have it on good authority that the Smokies won’t have any appearance at TBF this year - even nightgrass/Elk’s Park.

Lucas I’d rather them avoid Jim James and have Billy/Dusters/Smokies. I bet his fee would have covered all three of the other bands
Stringdusters would be looking for a later set I think, they have been very vocal about that in the past. I guess if I was going to go with that thought I would give dusters his set, and bump two of the few bands I have not gotten into yet…but as always the lineup is pretty tight and the majority of the last adds made sense with the lineup so I am happy with the way it turned out but so sad those three will not be joining us all on this years solstice trip. I agree with you id swap, but just curious who you would bump off of the lineup?
