What to do if I can't find anywhere to stay

First time visitor to TBF. I bought my family 4x 4day passes, but now I realize there is zero camping available. Is it really this difficult to get lodging/camping for TBF? Any advice is appreciated!

Yes, lodging is limited and very expensive. Camping was available for a good while but sold out in March.

If you keep your eye out you can probably pick up some Lawson camping passes.

I think there are several camping areas not affiliated with the festival but kinda nearby but would require some logistical work like parking somewhere you can grab the shuttle. I have seen some conversation about this in some camping threads but not sure where they are. Like KMurf said look at the ticket swap/exchange section of this forum and you will might be able to score some lawson hill passes. Good Luck!

i just saw this on the ticket exchange.

I know it seems like it’s so close, and it is, but there’ll be more camping for sale as it gets closer. Some folks are harding hoping friends will join, others will have to back out. There’s a variety of Nat’l Forrest areas you can camp outside of town. All of these will be taken early, and you’ll have to either find a way to join the Illium shuttle, drive in and park at MTN Vilaage and Gondola to town, or ride a bike in and out, probably at least 10 miles. I’ve never done it, but have met folks who did.

Hey @flossich, @xarubin posted some for sale in the ticket exchange part of this forum, go get em. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink.

Free Camping Near You | Go Camping for Free! You can find free/dispersed camping and then drive to Mountain Village and ride the gondola into town and walk to the festival.

I have property near Telluride if you need a place to camp. Send me a message. It’s a beautiful spot.
