This will be my first time at TBF and I’m very excited. Because we’re driving out from Nor Cal, we wont be able to get there until early thursday, the first day of the fest. We’re staying at Mary E I. Do people usually arrive much earlier or with this be fine?
:wave Folks start arriving in Town park on June 5th… This one is not for the faint of heart . Planet Bluegrass takes over Mary E on the 12th, I believe. :flower
Can I just simply leave right now? :woohoo
:peace
You’ll be towards the end of the arrivals, but not the last.
You’ll be fine getting there at that time, you just won’t have as many options on where to set up camp. The earlier you arrive, the more open space is there and the more options you have…
As Hippie said, we take over and open the campground on Saturday, June 12th…so if you can come earlier, make it happen!
:cheers
D.
thanks! I’m getting more and more excited every day. also, are there any good hikes around the campground? My friends and I have never been to colorado and we want to explore a bit in the mornings b/c we are heading in and out for just the festival.
Big Mitch, prepare to be amazed!
big mitch,
where in nor cal?
:cheers
The Zillers get to Illium on the 13th.
Why, said the little bug, as soon as you possibly canne!
Marin County. Are you from NorCal too?
where and who are you Mitch? Come out to Point Reyes and introduce yourself :cheers
Olema is a pretty easy place to find.
We are driving from NC, planning to stay in Ouray Monday night for good nights rest. Hoping to be at Illium Monday morning…Any good ideas how long that drive is? Mapquest says about 45 min…Started packing today!

45 minutes is pretty accurate to Illium. Maybe just a little longer…especially if you stop on top of Dallas Divide for photos.
Thanks! typo: heading to camp on Tuesday morn. Assuming that should allow plenty of time to get settled.
