What are your best TBF memories?

Wow, that’s a memory

Festival fun with the gang;)

Can’t wait for next weekend. It’s always sooooo good!

Sammy takes the lead for all days thus far. He just flat out rules this stage . Flippin on fire!

Well, the wedding will live in my memory for a long time! Congrats again, Lalagay and Dayton…

Doing Crunchy Frog shots with Tim O’Brien after Lalagay and Dayton’s wedding reception!!!

Sunday, June 19th, 2011, start to finish. The box canyon, the elements, the artists, the camraderie, Father’s Day, Bear Creek, the jubilant critters, laughter, silliness, etc. etc. etc. But in the end, Robert Plant and his allstar supporting cast lining up and knocking out of The Park the set of all sets in the most glorious setting imaginable.
:medal :thumbsup :eek  :lol :woohoo :dog :sunshine :jester :tapers :lovedr :angel :dancing :kiss :peace

Getting my picture made with Tim O’Brien at Camp Run a muck! Thanks guys! :thumbsup

Building the Wedding Cake for Lalagay and Dayton, meeting Lauren and Lisa who pitched in for the final razmataz cake deco. Thank you for your help.
Hearing Tim O. play with Kevin Burke at the wedding reception and the way Dayton and Lalagay gleemed while they danced. So very special.
Thank you Tim and Kevin for making that extra special for everyone. :medal

Finally meeting Hot Sugar our tarp runner, you are a great guy with a willing spirit whom is always ready to lend a hand.
P Thank you so much, we all love you and think you are the best!

Collecting hugs and kisses from folks I see only once a year! Hippie is a good kisser, new discovery :flower

The Elks Park Flash Mob fiasco. Far from perfect, but I want to do it again :flower and again :flower and again till we get it right!
So nice to finally meet you Erin!

Wed.
The fiddler from Cornmeal, she just flat out smokes, period. WOW! Passion, passion, passion! LOVED IT!!!

Thur.
Sarah Mclachlan set blew me away. Man that woman can touch my heart with her words and sound. Very powerful. Moving me to tears at times. WOW!!!

The final set, House Band, tearin it and me up. My favorite, the reason I come year after year, my guys, the guys that know how to get er done right. Tight and smooth.
True and Blue thru and thru, the way I love it. :medal :medal :medal :medal :medal

Fri
Joe Pug, he is a power house of song. He is a very gifted writer and he reminded me of a young Bob Dylan. I need some Joe Pug on my ipod, like yesterday. Great set!
the Stringdusters, man I love that traditional Bluegrass and they deliver so well!

Sat
The Decemberists, They have grown since I saw them last and the lyrics in their song are pungant , powerful. Enjoyed very much by me!
Sammys set, Thanks Sammy for kickin it off with Angelina The Baker. WOW!!! LOVE THAT MAN AND ALL HE DOES! Skilled, tight, fun and funny. DO IT AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!!!

Sun
Darrell’s Gospel set, the readings. I am not sure why but I always shed a tear or two, very moving. I felt it in my heart and it was very good.

Robert Plant and Band Of Joy, what can I say, the combination of the fresh snow fall on the mountain tops, hearing the throbbing songs I know so well, his beautiful voice, what a master. This set just blew me away it sounded so full, so rich, first class showman all the way :medal
I just kept sayin, I cannot believe I am standing 60 feet from Robert Plant and I still have room to dance. What an incredable night!!! WOW, WOW and WOW!!!

Thank you Planet Bluegrass I had such a great time this year. I wanna do it again and again and again. :medal :medal :medal

Monday morning, June 20, 2011
My tarps were sagging as low as I felt about having to pack up and leave.

One reason this year was special to me was due to the ticket stuff, I got to meet many new friends… I loved it… And I want to put a special “thank you” out to Scott ( SWANDER)- he jumped right in there with the bloody mary’s…
I really, really miss you all…

Oh and the Cameron family rocked… NEWBIES of the YEAR~

bringing 2 newbies to tbf and watching them get hooked just like i did 7 years ago

Amazing, outstanding, altogether off the hook… That being said, the return of the Pastor (my first time), smiling faces, Olde Crow, dancing, Darrell, House Band, and all the wonderfull people there… See you next year (or at Rockygrass or Folks Fest…)

:thumbsup

:thumbsup Absolutely loved helping out, Debbie! (bottomless BM a very nice bonus!) :cheers
Can’t wait to do it again!

Agreed that this was an epic Festival! So many highlights culminating in snow covered peaks at twillight & Robert Plant. Band of Joy is right! The cold I have now from dancing around in the pouring rain (splashing in tarp puddles!) is totally worth it!

It was in the middle of Mumford and Sons, I was drenched and cold. I ran to the condo hooked up my ipod speaker to my laptop started streamin the set on KOTO started the fireplace, took a hot shower, put on dry clothes, had a cocktail, looked up the sky opened up and back I flew to see the final set, Robert Plant. WOW what an exciting night. :medal :medal :medal

When the turtleheads trampled in front of the stage and beamed for a raging afternoon set of turtlemania!

Every year becomes a blur as soom as I leave. Hooch passing around the bottle of Turkey Honey
waiting for the land rush was special.

Dennis- “sittin” in the tarp line: eating rumballs, meeting people, pickin with T and Durango Dave, trying to be the last to fall asleep.

Ty- Seeing Sam Bush play and picking with Dwane from the Tiki Bar.

Molly- making new friends: Nisa, Sara, Ruby, Essie, Isabella, Patrick :wave

Kim- Dancing with the family when Sam Bush played Circles Around Me, meeting all the Muckers, crunchy frog!

Love it. Can’t wait to see you all next year.
