Yes plenty of other threads for your other bands. This is about getting LoS back where they belong right after Sam. And town park would not be the same without Camp Howdy. Looking forward to seeing Salmon 2 times this weekend in Chicago with Horseshoes and Hand Grenades opening at Park West. Any other festivarians going? I know my festivilan friends will be there.

AKUS does have a new album coming out this year so I think you may have a chance at seeing them finally. I don’t think Salmon is going to make it but ya never know.
No Tride for me this year- so far the lineup is typical (perhaps even worse than 2016 which was average) and given the expense and hassle of getting to Tohelluride I figure it’s time to do other cool things. Now that RockyGrass lineup is stellar OTH.
To further jack this thread, I saw the Dusters in DC on Friday- wow, those guys are at the top.

And babe we KNOW AK has a new album coming, hence the nagging/ begging
Not sure what to say about the hassle of getting to Telluride. We still think it is worth the 17 hour flight to LA, the hike across country, the shuttle to Montrose, the bus to Telluride…

So what is going on with Salmon? Their calendar is still open on the website. Wonder if there is some sort of management conflict. We want to see Vince strolling around TP again.
I decided to turn my two show Salmon run into a three day adventure. The Friday show in Bloomington’s Bluebird was great fun, I ran into several friends, had Vince included me into one of his songs. And had a good chance to talk with my good buddy Vince as well. From asking the fish himself it sounds like Salmon still wants to play Telluride and it is still open on their schedule but has not been offered a contract by the Planet as of yet, hopefully that will change. The next two shows in Chicago were equally great. The Park West show had my good friends and Wisco heroes Horseshoes and Hand Grenades open. Another band that belongs in Telluride (read this review http://www.motherchurchpew.com/2017/02/07/11158/)
The Sunday brunch was acoustic with Eric on a grand piano at the City Winery. All three shows were great and I made it home just in time to catch the end of the super bowl.
So why would PB not want Salmon back? I have a hard time believing it would be for money. Many of the artists who come here probably don’t ask for top dollar, but come for the experience, I think.
A friend informed me that Greg confirmed it wasn’t going to happen this year… Don’t want to believe. My heart would be broken…
