So it’s looking like a pretty chilly year…

Any locals…with the sun does it feel a little warmer or should we be packing for colder temps this year?

That’s perfect weather (for my taste)!!! It’s been a late spring here for sure. I’m 130 miles north of Telluride and it’s definitely behind the average on warm-up/melt-off. But never fear, you will survive!
“So Phoenix, please don’t squirt us with your squirt guns, we get one week of perfect weather a year”
Quote from a local telluride paper I read two years ago
From http://www.snowforecast.com/TellurideResort :
–We expect high pressure ridging to build in with more late spring type weather and near to above average temperatures early-mid next week. Isolated afternoon showers/ storms follow partly cloudy/ mostly sunny and mild to warm days, with not a lot of wind outside of thunderstorms. Storms mostly end in the evening each day. Mid to late next week we may see a bit of a heat wave develop under more summer-like high pressure overhead.
These guys were right more often then not, especially re: snow totals throughout the ski season, so I’ll be checking them (and others) regularly until next Weds.
Awesome… :thumbsup
Awesome, I can’t wait to get there! Record heat lately here in the deep south and so looking forward to the spring temps in Telluride…aaaaahhhhhhh!!!
Update: The extended forecast is looking insanely good! But that’s only through Friday. And things change pretty quickly in the mountains.
The forecast does look amazing! I am so excited about this year.
noaa.gov has high 60’s and low 70’s all week and 40’s at night!!! Sounds absolutley perfect, I love 70’s in the mountains.
It was 43 at night the other night - - bring your warm, fuzzy stuff . . .
Can hardly wait to get there on Monday evening - :cheers
