Unable to get to shop.bluegrass.com to buy tickets!!

Unfair. She’s worked hard to save and is sharing her honest disappointment. She doesn’t need your judgement, and this is about server issues, not attitude. Please be kind and understanding. This has been a frustrating process for all of us.

Sorry guys…It’s true…I’m angry, upset, teary eyed and mad that I see them for $999 on stubhub. crushed is an appropriate word and I did lose sleep over it. This is exactly what the festival should NOT beand I’m sad at what it has become. :sorry

I take it back. I just get frustrated with people taking things out on Planet Bluegrass just because there is high demand. They are one of the best organizations in music.

Meredith…my wife and I decided to go to Europe this fall and don’t have enough time off to do bluegrass…but huckinfappy is right. I just bought 2 tickets if you would like them for face.

You have every right to be sad and mad. I’m so sorry. I hope everything works out for you in the end. :love

I don’t think they were 195 last year but I believe they sold out the day after Christmas.

ALL: KEEP TRYING AT THE FULL PRICE TICKET PRICE!!

YOU CAN DO IT!

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :medal :medal :flower :flower

:thumbsup

That’s really kind of you, Joe! :thumbsup

This has changed now, right?!?!? The $195s seem to working better now?

I was thinking that since today is my birthday (one that I proudly share with luminaries like Jim Messina, JJ Cale, Little Richard, Walt Disney and Sonny Boy Williamson), ticket karma would have been a little kinder but c’est la vie, right?

I have no problem with “advance” over “holiday” pricing ($3.75 per day more) and I am completely not an Internet commerce master but I can’t help but think there’s a better way to do this.

Best wishes to Planet Bluegrass as it works through this dilemma. Happy holidays to everyone and we’ll see you in June.

Hang in there. Just got on and tix at the regular price. Bet we all wont know or care how we got there come June…

While it might be true that PB is one of the best organizations in music, I do think there’s an issue with server load re: ticket sales they really ought to address head on … IMO. Maybe they’re working up to it, but it’s not good to have people uncertain of their order status due to insufficient system resources causing pages to not to load completely to provide confirmation. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s kind of rare to see that is sort of thing happen for this caliber of an event these days.

Regardless, that’s a nice offer to Merideth!

I don’t think the demand is the issue… the question is whether or not the ticketing process was prepared for the demand, and it doesn’t seem like it was really… overloaded servers and busy phone lines.

PBG is certainly a wonderful organization and TBF is one of my favorite places on Earth, but I think they should take a hard look at their ticketing process for things like this… Just my opinion. Doesn’t seem fair to have someone reloading a webpage for an hour because the server is overloaded only to be told that the tickets (which they probably put in their cart 30 minutes before or more) are sold out now and they have to start completely over.

Can anyone confirm a successful order over the phone? Maybe those people wouldn’t be on an online MB. I called 30 times over 15 minutes and never got through, always busy.

Yep, last year the four days were $165 holiday, $195 advance, and the dreaded 4SingleDay pass @ $260. Why are people so upset about not saving $15?

Usually you have to attend Six Flags for a roller coaster ride like that! Yowza! With that said, tickets are purchased and we’re on our way back to Telluride! Woohoo!

It has been hard work getting the tickets but 1h 45 minutes later I have 2 regular priced tickets so they are still available on the official shop page.
Now just got to sort out the flights from the UK and the accomodation…

Just finished getting my tickets (with email confirmation from PBG) at the $195 price. So in the end I’m happy, even though the process was quite frustrating. 10 minutes ago there were still tickets … See you in June

Admittedly this makes me nervous. Purchased mine more than an hour ago and still no confirmation email.

JK! got it about a minute after i posted this.

Maybe we should just have Planet Bluegrass team up with Ticketmaster…KIDDING! :lol

But I too was very frustrated that this happened, it is unfortunate that holiday prices sold out… BUT WHAT IS $15 PEOPLE!!! This is seriously the greatest festival I have ever been to, and could probably be the best ran festival in the whole world. Just try and focus on how lucky we are that we even get to experience this festival with each other, and for Planet Bluegrass putting it on. I am pretty much a newbie, and started coming to this fest when the Mumford craze happend, so maybe I am over stepping boundaries. But the site seems to be working fine now. Just keep calm if you have your tickets, getting mad doesnt do anything but make it more stressful for you. Keep on Rocking in the Free World, Festivarians! :cheers

AMEN.
