Town Park activities 2011

Hooch, I seldom use the word brilliant in my vocabulary so as not to lessen it’s power when I do use it. But, bacon corsages…BRILLIANT!!!

Have it in conjunction with New Year’s Eve at the Dome! :cheers

I don’t know if one exists anywhere other than on Planet Bluegrass!

Cindy Lou – is this a TBF event?

Hey :wave,

It’s a Town Park event that happens Monday or Tuesday (I think) before TBF starts that Thursday.

:cheers

FUN! I didn’t know about the NYE party. What’s the Dome?

Sorry – first Town Park this year…I’m such a virgin. :flower

This will be our first time in Town Park AND our first TBF.

Any information on TP activities or traditions is greatly appreciated! The more details the better!
Thanks :flower

Sweet! More virgins. Well, before any other TP activities can be enjoyed, you must first attend the Town Park virgin sacrifice. Only then do we disclose the other activities! :evil :evil :evil

Let me just say, I LOVE this idea. This could be a great chance to implement the new BACON TUXEDO!! Yes, that’s right folks…this thing is REAL!
Did you ever make a Bacon Tuxedo? – Archie McPhee Check it out! I would love a chance to get to know some more of you–especially in my BACON TUXEDO!

Could there be anything better than eating a roasted pig wrapped in bacon on top of a hand breaded and fried iowa tenderloin while wearing (or dancing with a guy in) a bacon tuxedo!!!

the Dome is a geodesic dome that some folks from the NW built last year. It was the first time for them to do this, and it was on Sunday night. They had a NYE party complete with a champagne toast at midnight. I don’t remember if they had live music or not, but it was packed. After that I would look in each night and it was just some folks sitting around a heater, so I said they needed to have some pickers in each night to fill up that big space, it was just too nice to only use once! They asked how would they go about getting that done, so I told them to just advertise that the Dome was available for late-night picking. They put a sign up the next day, and Voila! Pickers and grinners every night after. So now you know more than you ever wanted.

I sure hope they come back!

I was wondering if the Thunder Dome group was going to be back this year. Had a lot of fun in there over the course of the week last year. It seems like if they went to that much effort to build the thing that they would want to get more use out of it and come back!

Here’s a portion of the dome - it’s Camp Cascadia.

That is SWEET!!! :thumbsup Anyone know if the NYE party will be taking place again in 2011? I’m going to start searching for the perfect “gown” right now anyway!

We are buried under 16 inches of drifting, heavy snow with -35 degree wind chills right now. Thoughts of festivities in that valley are keeping me going. Thanks for sharing the picture and a glimpse of what we have in store for us this year!

:wave guess i better start looking too :lol
It will have to be a size 18 or 20 and sleeveless since my shoulders are kinda broad.

:peace

It’s been a long time since I qualified to be a virgin sacrifice. :giggle

:wave This thread needed to move up! :cheers At least until the official “2011 Pre-fest Announcements” are decreed from the honorable Mayor TT…(schedule subject to change) Trying to line up a “Wedding Singer”?
