Tom- Weather forecast?

Tom- Have the weather forecast yet?

Forecast or prediction?
It’s difficult for even the best meteorologist to forecast that far in advance, so I’ll call it (as usual) my annual prediction. :flower

This year… typical Telluride weather.
Warm during the day, cold at night, with a chance for afternoon thunderstorms.
Windy at times (can be extreme) so tie down your pop-ups and canopies.
Dry humidity with a high fire danger, so watch what and how you burn. :thumbsup

:lol" Partly cloudy with a 50% chance of rain" :lol, a safe forecast for any Weatherman (qoute by The Hippie, Dippie Weather Man) :flower

I hope it rains a bit :cheers

This one was a bit less specific than year’s past. So, does that mean you think it is “too hard to call?” Honestly, do you think it will be on the wet or dry side? We had an unusually wet winter but seems to be drying out now… What about Colorado? Our Spring temps have been cooler than average as well… Colorado?

:wave Just kidding you silly. I live on top of a mountain in CO and it’s almost always winter here. So I have no concept, but from where I sit, lots of snow this year and warmer than usual( or I could be gettin’ hardier :flower or maybe both :festivarian

Lots of Humming Birds about and it has been raining up here. I can smell the earth, it must be Spring! :sunshine

You can set your email home page for the Telluride Forecast and watch the trends, but you know what they say, don’t like the weather in Colorado wait 5 minutes. We can get all 4 seasons in one afternoon. Gotta embrace it. :flower

With the amount of snowfall, I don’t see the fire danger being out of control…though safe fire burning is always a good mantra.

…though I’m sure Tom knows something I don’t. He’s got a little more experience than I do. :lol

On a serious note: with the amount of snowfall in Telluride this year, the runoff could be going full force when we get there, particularly you ABGAT’ers. Everyone be mindful of the river, and how strong it can be. If it’s raging, be careful around it. Fast moving rivers are much more powerful than you might think. :flower

Yeah! heh heh heh… weather forcast! This be Haute!

The key word was “windy” so it really was specific.

Windy is IMPORTANT to mention. Two years ago we witnessed an EZup get sucked into a dust devil early in the morning. The ten by ten EZup went soaring at least 25 feet in the air before the frame came crashing back to earth while the fabric soared high in the sky landing about halfway up the mountainside.

Hows that for a run on sentence ?

Stake those tarps and tents down please, for all of us.

:cheers

Rain, Wind, Hail, Solar Flares, Falling Cats, blah blah blah. I need something more solid that I can relate to.

Tom, would you say the weather will be more oriented to Bloody Marys and darker beers or more like a Mojitos and IPA type of festi-weather? Should I bring a stein so that the lid protects my drink from rain dilution or should I get one of those hats with the two beer holders and a hose to help beat the heat? If it’s windy then what drink tastes best with bits of dust and grass in it?

:lol :lol blah, blah, blah, should I scothguard my underware, should I wear my rubber socks, blah, blah ,blah :lol :lol

Hooch… Margarita’s with one sided flip top lids and renewable half-moon salt fixer-upper. :thumbsup

In 2007 we had a Kelty shade fly from the FESTIVVVAAALLL!!! field, over the access road, bounce off the fence…(8,9,10… breathe)… off the Run-A-Muck Pickin’ Tent and into the staff camping area.

Remember: Six inch tent stakes ONLY on the FESTIVVVAAALLL!!! field!

Auntie Hope :pickin

hey!..I was there for that. I guess I do get to participate in festival memories after all. :lol

Accuweather forecast: Cold Drinks, Hot music, and a bit of fog rolling in over the canyon :cheers

cheers to that^^^!

Cold drinks, hot music and a foggy memory will be more like it for me, I’m 'fraid.

But the scotchguarded underwear sounds like a pretty good suggestion. For those wet festival chairs, I mean… You know, when we get a sprinkle… outdoors. An outdoor sprinkle. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

YES! But you could use all the sandbags you could muster!

No matter what the weather will be in Telluride it is guaranteed that it will be MUCH better than the weather in Vegas while we are there! (usually over 100 by then)

Whether or not there is gonna be weather isn’t really the question, is it?

We will be leaving just in time…
