The Way Back is a question that a lot of us are asking, also the lead off song on my friend Adam Greuel new album Tangerine Quarantine. After a brutal week with Telluride being cancelled and the passing of John Prine along with all the other bad news. I awoke this morning seeing the snow storm just starting here in Wisconsin as it was leaving Telluride, it looks like the foot of snow that they talked about is almost here shutting down a already shutdown area. At least it’s better than the bad storms down south. Now with my maple season ending last week I have some time again. A good season that I enjoyed making my maple syrup now just have to figure out how to deliver it over the country. It seems that we almost all agree that music is what makes good times even better and bad times bearable. My friend just released his second album in a month following up Low Income Porridge with Tangerine Quarantine, both available at adamgreuel.bandcam.com for download or cd and vinyl from his Facebook page. He also has new albums in the works from Horseshoes and Hand Grenades and the High Hawks set for release later this year. The song I Wanna Grow talks about wanting to grow to be an old man and be a little less Hunter S. and spend more time in Telluride. Check out the new solo albums with many guests from a lot of your favorite bands. And three songs about maple syrup seeing that he and his family also make maple syrup. I was able to see Adam 25 times last year wondering when I will see him again or any live music. Until then I will have to tune into his Monday night stream at 8:30 central time, the last two weeks he has closed with his grandmothers favorite song What a Wonderful World.
That is really freaking awesome Al! You have a killer set-up.
Pretty Cool, Malpe Al!!!
Thank you Al for mentioning Adams website. I listened to him on live streaming with ISD. Definately need to buy his album. Al your maple set up is so fancy! I noticed the Bender schedule.
Jeez guys, I know there is a lot going on in the world now…But my heart is breaking I cant see live music right now. It is one of the only things that I get out and get social for! Anway, if there is other on-line music interests I should know about. Let me know. I have purchases some new stuff, but I sure miss the live fire of music.
I Love and will miss all my Telluride Family.

Watching and or listening to Adam’s Monday night live streams the last eight weeks have been my main source of live music. Also Todd Snider has a great Sunday morning show from the purple building in East Nashville. But I miss the real thing as well. Seeing my favorite bands many times at great venues all over the country has been my lifestyle for many years. It is what brought me to Telluride 33 years ago.
Adam also contributed to the new John Hartford tribute album along with many of your and my favorite bands. It benefits MusiCares and comes out in June. Also check out Adam and his new video of Wildlands with Andy Hall and Andy Thorn contributions.
Wow, this is terrific! We don’t have maple strip tapping here so what an eye opener. Amazing
Thanks for sharing your video Al! It is cool to see your set up and all the work involved with making Maple Syrup. And nice to see and hear you!! :wave
I am so sad TBF is cancelled this year. hopefully things lift later in the year and you can still make a trip out this way.
Take care and enjoy some rest after all that hard work during Sugaring season! :flower
Thanks for posting! That was pretty neat to see all the workings behind your syrup.
