The New Guy

Hey folks. I was up until the wee hours of the morning reading through the board & past posts.
It was nice to find lots of advice for first timers to the Festival, I’ll be reading them again & again in anticipation

My wife & I are flying in on the Monday evening before, so we hope to have some good times pre-show around town.
My brother Brian lives in Tride w/ his wife, so we landed a nice warm dry place to stay, says you can see the stage from his balcony, we’re pretty excited!

I sure hope to run into some of you folks out there, I might print myself a ‘festivarian newbie’ shirt or something to parade around in haha :thumbsup

Welcome to the Insanity Mr. Metsker!

We call you and your wife “Festi-Virgins”, if you’d like to keep that new shirt on point! Be sure to take a stoll through Town Park and meet a few of us!

FESTIVVVAAALLL!!!

Auntie Hope :pickin

Woah! you’ve got quite the hook up! nothing like camping though! but, i’ll envy your warm showers . . . ummm, speaking of which, where did you say your brother lives again??

:wave

welcome welcome! hope to cross paths!

maineahhh: i wish we could check out the campgrounds for some intimate setting picks that will surely be going on, but I’ll trade the warm showers, bedding, and a kitchen for camping any day!

my brother lives in Muscatel Flats, from what I hear, it’s pretty close.
Any ideas on how to score that elusive ‘sheriden opera house Yonder’ ticket?

I’ve been reading about folks wearing buttons or shirts to identify certain groups/camps… sounds like fun, dunno if I have time to print anything up, but I’m going to play w/ the idea.

Howdy :wave
Muscatel Flats is the closest you can be to town park! :thumbsup
You will love it. :flower
It is where i used to stay before I started camping in Town Park.
You have a view right to the stage. :eek
Bring binoculars!

Enjoy!!! :cheers

thanks for the kind words, we are looking forward to the festival, music, friends, the whole bit!

we arrive on monday evening, maybe enough time to grab a drink & some dinner, but tuesday before the fest is WIDE open… any pre-fest festivities or ideal ‘local’ spots I should know about?
Again, my brother Brian & his wife have been living in Muscatel Flats for a few years now, so I know they’ll have some ideas, but always up for hearing the communities ideas as well

Go to the Telluride Category on this Forum…

Telluride Pre-Fest

see you on the playground…A J :horsey :hop :woohoo

very cool reading up on the pre-fest lists
is there a disc golf course in town? I saw it mentioned, but haven’t checked pdga.com yet
I know we have a dozen or so Geocaches punched into our gps unit, see if we can’t find some while out there.

Thanks for the heads up, it seems like one hell of a good time is waiting for us out there!
Can’t wait to meet some new folks, hopefully I’ll see a few of you around the way.

OH… are they pretty strict about ‘NO VIDEO CAMERAS’ in the festival? just wondering, as a camerman I have to ask these things.

Unless you want it confiscated I wouldn’t bring it in! :flower

There is a 9-hole course up in Mtn. Village. :thumbsup

If you are bringing discs, let me know…maybe we can throw a round :cheers

Here’s an idea, write in big letters on your hat “The New Guy”. We’ll find you.

Does that include all the phones that capture video? Seems like a catch-22 here on what is a video camera or not. Just curious
