I have written before of the love and kindness I experienced when I came to Telluride the first time- the way someone gave me a blanket to sit on when we arrived at Firstgrass, how strangers asked us to join them for dinner, being given tickets to see Greensky, being embraced by Duktapers …
Have been so sad because I’m not there this year - have also been so touched when so many people came forward with offers of new accommodation, offers to exchange my tickets, etc
I even had a friend let me know they had a GSBG ticket for me ( which they have gifted to another festivarian cause that’s what we do)
Has been hard reading the posts as the festival gets closer - happy for everyone but oh it is hard not to feel a bit sad that I can’t be there
Then today…
I woke up this morning and there was a message in my inbox with an offer of a gift from a fellow festivarian. A present that he knew I would absolutely love. Which would make me feel like I was there even when I’m stuck on the other side of the world.

Magic? People power? It is the music, the philosophy, the place, the vibe.
