Any recommendations from Festivarians on hiking in the Telluride area, especially with trailheads that are reasonably accessible from Town Park or the festival grounds? My ideal would be a 2 - 3 hour hike with some good views at the end (which, admittedly, probably includes every possible hike in Telluride). Same question on mountain biking, but with the addition of the “where is a good place to rent a mtn bike” question.
Thanks all, getting very excited about Telluride Bluegrass!

I reached out to the Telluride Visitor Center info@visittelluride.com with the same question and was hooked up with Telluride Sports www.telluridesports.com 920-728-4477 for online bike rental and local trails. :thumbsup
Bear Creek trail ~ 4 miles. Jud Wiebe on the sunnyside is the locals quick loop with excellent views. Up to bridal veil and farther up to Ajax is a longer hike also with outstanding views. Sneffels Highline is the all day tour and worth it but pending the snow higher up. Telluride Sports, Paragon and Gravity Works (all on Main Street) all rent bikes. All of this is directly out of town. The hiking and mountain biking is spectacular.
