Hey Everyone,
I am a bit curious whats going on this year. I haven’t seen so many town park and warner field tickets available for sale or that nightgrass isnt sold out for Greensksy/Dusters. Any idea why the demand is so low for these tickets? I have a few theories, but wanted to ask the group to see if I was missing something.

I think it’s a combination of several things. Economy sucks right now. The Billy Strings bluegrass type fans like the jam grass stuff and there’s very little of that. Also over the past few years it’s leaned more towards country style acts than bluegrass with most the bluegrass being bands that are there almost every year. I’m going and there’s definitely some new to me bands I’m excited about and some of my favorites. But also there’s really only 1 band that’s popular enough to play a venue larger than 1200 in my hometown and that’s Tedeschi Trucks which for a lot of folks you either love them or don’t care about them. So lack of big headliners is probably another aspect. But, we don’t really go for the music that’s just a bonus, bigger bonus when it’s the best bands!
