After Sturgill’s surprise (surprise to me anyway) SNL sit-in with Chris Stapleton last weekend, I’d like to think that same magic could happen this summer. I can’t read the tea leaves of their schedules well enough to predict but a fellow can hope, right?

I have to admit some of my favorite sets at TBF are the unlikely collaborations that come to be on stage. Egos checked and the energy is so new and exciting the possibilities endless. Love oozen, goin where no man has gone before just for us kinda stuff.

Stapleton is in Dallas on Saturday the 23rd. If Sunday is indeed when Sturgill is playing (his website says the 24th), it would be a bit of a stretch, but possible.
I wont hold out too much hope for it, but I’d love to see it happen.
Did anyone else catch the great interview with Stapleton on NPR this week. He’s a pretty down to earth dude. Would love to see him at Telluride.
He shines when interviewed. Gives you a real sense of who he is. I like him and his music… :medal
