Stuff I forget to bring

Here’s stuff I’ve forgotten to bring in past years. Maybe it will be of value to others, especially new folks. Veteran festevarians, please add to the list! I finally made myself a checklist a couple years ago.

hammer (for tent stakes. It’s the ROCKY mountains)
sharp knife (for slicing tomatoes for my sandwiches)
drinking cups
salt and pepper
corkscrew
shampoo
soap container
…and last but not least… my ticket!

Newbies: it’s almost guaranteed to rain at least for an hour one afternoon. Sometimes more. Bring an umbrella and a rain jacket or poncho. And it can get cool at nights, so bring a fleece jacket or equivilent, jeans, socks, cap. And a flashlight.

For some reason, I’ve never forgotten to bring beer.

Forgot your ticket. Bummer!! What did you do?

Also consider bringing your own utensils into the fest. At RockyGrass this year the vendors were no longer supplying utensils to eat with, they were selling a spork thing for $2. Planet Bluegrass is trying to continue to minimize one-time-use objects, so think green and bring your own sporks!

Actually I lied, I never forgot my ticket. That’s because I’m so paranoid that I will!

Good to know about the utensils, thank you!

It’s always good to bring a wine key (cork screw) even if you don’t bring wine because someone around will need it

I did show up one year without my ticket. I was able to go to the library which is located in the park downtown. I was able to login to my email and print my tickets. Not sure if the flood damaged this facility, but thought I would share that experience in case it could help solve someone’s problem.

Okay I did forget to print a hard copy of my ticket. Can they scan the bar code from my phone? It shows up nice and clearly just like a paper ticket.

At Rockygrass, there was a special line “Did you forget to print your tickets?” Just for people like you

Oh that made me chuckle Huckin
