Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers

anyone else go tonight? if you have a chance to see this act in the future, do not miss it. wow. that fiddle player tore orange blossom special to pieces. steve rips, and the hilarity ensues.

“You know, it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to play a banjo show at the Paramount Theater here in Denver-- and after tonight, I think I’m one step closer to achieving that goal.”

Yeah, that was a sweet show!! The Rangers a capella song blew me away again, like it did at RockyGrass.
Loved the encore of “King Tut” bluegrass-style
Thought his cousin did a fine job opening, too…

Agreed… that was a suh-weeet show!! Doesn’t compare to their show at Hardly Strictly a few weeks ago. Being in an intimate venue like the Paramount made all the difference.

Steve was amazing… and so funny. He kept up with the Rangers, and the balance of their stage presence was pretty equal. Martin didn’t steal the spotlight nor did he get lost in the background.

The Pete Wernick cameo was pretty cool, too.

Not bad for a bunch of guys who “met in rehab”.

agreed all around… i know theres a copy from one of his shows earlier this tour floating around etree-- anyone know if the paramount show made it to tape?
