Solar Charger

Gang, any of you have any experience with Solar Chargers for small, handheld electronics? I’m specifically looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003AIL2K6/ref=s9_simh_gw_p200_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=185NVDCF33SV84A6DA5N&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

Definately on a budget though, which is another reason I am interested in this solia charger. Any tips/experiences would be great!

I have this one. Unfortunately my old iPhone 3G broke about a year ago and I sadly discovered it was NOT compatible with the 3GS model. Actually…if I still have it I’ll give it to you for free. Let me check and see if I still have it at home tonight and I’ll let you know sound of Hooch writing himself a post-it-note reminder

Get outta here! That’s awesome… I’d really appreciate it, but there’s no need for the free part of that. I’ll make it worth your while some how!

I have an EVO, and still need to see if it is compatible or not, but I’d seen some mixed reviews on this product.

I just did some research for another Forumvarian about solar chargers… Just go to Amazon.com and do a quick search on solar battery chargers, there are many opitions for around 40 bucks.

We will have ample solar electricity in the late mornings and afternoons for responsible Festivarians to charge their phones, please no charging at night as we will be using the electricity for important things like the coffee bean grinder in the morning and lighting at night. This means that you will be responsible for plugging in for just the time needed to charge up your device. Remember that Run a Muck is completely off the grid :flower

I found motorola batteries on ebay for 5 dollars apiece for my droid x (and they work!). So I bought a dozen of them because I didn’t want to bogart the sun from the coffee makers.
