OK !!! I know you need a custom Mandolin to play slide , however, do you really think that only 2 people (Sam Bush and Rob Ikes) in the entire world should know how to play slide on the Mandolin :huh
I don’t, I want to hear and see close up. I know I’m no Sammy, but that does not mean I won’t be able to slide some day lil buckeroos :flower

I know I need to know more of the basics on my Mandolin but my interests always pull me to the last page or more advanced.

Drew Emmitt plays slide-mando as well. He uses and electric-mando when he does it though.
Love it when Drew breaks out and rocks it. Never heard him play slide, gonna have to now! :medal
He tends to do it on songs like Euphoria and Up on the Hill.

Not a problem. I know he does it on others, I think Carnival Time is one of them. The first year they played TBF after their long hiatus, I seem to recall Drew playing a slide mando solo while flopping around on the ground.
The mandolin player in my band was playing slide with a whole beer bottle last Wednesday. Sounded great, looked hilarious. I’ll have to send him the link you posted, Tom.
I have been tearin up my fingers so I need to go purchase a slide soon. I tried the remote last night… use the right tool for the job I should know that by now. Building songs around the slide now…silly me, what do I know. Its fun to try to make different noises with my Mandolin. I am afraid I am not conforming to any known mold at this time… :lol :lol :lol :lol
