Wanted to let the Sam friends know that Sam’s Dad, Charlie Bush passed away last night at the age of 89. He will truly be missed. I know you will want to keep Sam and his family in your thoughts at this time.

Sam will still be performing today at Bonnaroo and tomorrow at the Georgia Mt Roots and Music Festival.

Thought the way Sam handled it, making a mention of his father, but not the passing was understandable, professional and sad all at the same time. None of us know when we may face a similar situation, I know that I am undoubtedly not as close to my old man as Sam was to his Father, but nevertheless, gave me pause…
