We’ll be passing thru Santa Fe enroute to Telluride, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to stop for a mid-afternoon lunch … never been there, and don’t mind getting off the highway for a good meal. Thanks, y’all, and see you soon in our beautiful box canyon :wave
Maria’s New Mexico Kitchen - locals joint
I’d skip Blue Corn…go to Tomasitas for real NM food. While they are usually busy, the service is quick and the food delicious. And if your not the one driving…the marts rock! Blue Corn is ok, Marias just switched owners and really they’re only known for the margaritas which are usually way too strong to enjoy. And this is coming from a marg lover. If you have a bit more time you can go to the Shed, or their sister restaurant…La Choza.
I live here, and I recommend The Shed! Great food, great Margarita’s and reasonable prices!

i recommend Harry’s Roadhouse off of 96 Old Las Vegas Hwy im SF. I lived there and it is a locals facorite and not expensive or touristy, yet delicious. Deah, what are your thoughts about this place?
Harry’s is excellent! Great menu, fresh foods, and kick arse desserts!!! There really are so many choices here in Santa Fe. Dang…I’m hungry now!
Wow - I appreciate all the recommendations. All sound tasty and inviting to us east coasters. We’ll be continuing our drive onward to Durango thru Pagosa Springs. Guess I better think twice about those margaritas, but then again - maybe we’ll take a little walk afterwards before driving furthur. Any of these kind of on the way we’re headin’?
Harry’s has great food too! Also great service! So many great places in Santa Fe!
