We have have town park camping passes and the included 4 day bluegrass concert. We were not able to get a vehicle pass. We were planning on arriving in an RV and making this a stop along a colorado road trip with our kids. Can we park the RV somewhere? We were planning on dropping off the camping stuff Tues or Wed before the festival starts. Would it be possible to return to the RV if need be? Or drive the RV out a day early? Are dogs allowed in town park for camping?
Free parking is provided in multiple areas. I assume an RV would be fine, but I’m not positive on that. Dogs are not allowed in Town Park during the festival, but there are several different pet boarders near by. I imagine someone who is familiar with them will chime in and give you specifics. Or you could search through some of the posts on this forum. Someone has posted them before.
If your RV is parked in one of the designated parking areas you will be allowed to return to it to retrieve items or to leave.
You will not be allowed to sleep in it in the parking area.
I’m not sure why you would want to leave a day early with so much good music going on. :flower
T-Tom, looks more like they are going to set up camp and tour the area before the bagpipes blow on Thursday.
Just a suggestion…
Get into Telluride anytime, from the Saturday prior to the “actual” FESTIVVVAAALLL!!! and Tue/Wed., then… JUST… STAY… PUT!
Telluride has many thing to offer families, not to mention the “Town Park” camping experience with the rest of our group of crazy Festivarians, of which you and your family now belong!
How old are the kids? Trust me, they’ll still love you after you arrive in Town Park, but they’ll want to hang out with their new life long friends of the same age group! And that’s OK, because you’re about to have the same experience with us big kids! :thumbsup
Welcome to FESTIVVVAAALLL!!! :welcome

P.S.
About that RV…
The closer you get to FESTIVVVAAALLL!!!, the more limited the parking for big rigs. Spots don’t get held for you, and the later in the week, the longer the walk to your rig from Town Park. Park it and play in the canyon area. Trust us, we’re not steering you the wrong way on this one. Just plan on being there from at the very latest on Mon/Tue, until packing out the Monday we’re all looking forward to "next year".
