They announced the inductees today for 2018. Dire Straits and the Cars were slam dunks. Moody Blues and Bon Jovi finally got in. But the two most interesting inductees are Nina Simone and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Both black women played important roles in American culture and music. Nina’s music was a beacon of light for pointing our racial injustice. Sister Rosetta was just about the best bad-ass female guitar player there was back in the 40s and 50’s, knocking out gospel music. She was a big influence on Chuck Berry. It was a good day for women today, especially considering what went down in Alabama last night.

Love that!
And the Meters were snubbed once again. The Cars?! Really? What is wrong with these voters?
The fact that the Meters are not in the RRHOF is a joke. Also Little Feat needs to be in…talk about a great rock & roll band.
