Ready or not—- here I come!

MaryAnn, solo, newcomer, road -tripper , “seasoned”, Capricorn , mermaid, flat lander, curious, silly :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:!
I am traveling with my guitar. I may be the least talented player attending, but will miss my girl if I leave her home! What is the general instrument “thang” ? Safety, storage, conditions, theft (:woman_shrugging:t2: sorry, I had to)…… I can’t wait to see and hear your collection of beloved instruments , but , alas, my imagimazment requires I ask “where are they when we’re off dancing and singing”?

Never really heard of anyone getting an instrument stolen. Most people i know just leave them in their tents at the campsite. I would for sure make sure its not left out and super convenient for someone to walk by and snag it, or get damaged by the inevitable rain storm that seems to happen every year… Also, get to know your neighbors. Let them know you are a solo camper, and if they see anyone rummaging around your camp that isn’t you to alert the staff.

Thank you for the sage advice!

what campground are you staying at?

I would never worry especially in town park. It’s a great community never heard really more than a beer or two going missing

Never had an issue or even a worry but I do suggest relaxing the strings and allowing the wood to breathe and acclimate for a just a little bit! The head of my 72 Aria Pro II snapped 2 yrs ago enroute to steamboat jam and aside from spilling beer for missed loved ones memorials it was the sadest ive ever been in telluride.
