Railroad Earth

Can someone suggestone of the better Railroad Earth albums for me.
I do not have any in my music collection and want to ad some! Thanks.

The Black Bear Sessions is easily my favorite. The others are good, but this one is simply fantastic!

Great thanks Sugar :thumbsup

Check out the live album, Elko :thumbsup

Im with sugar . Black Bear Sessions is truly a masterpiece . BRING THEM BACK TO T-RIDE 2015!!

Not sure if you’re interested in live recordings, but in the TBF spirit their Sheridan show from 2009 was one of the best damn performances I’ve ever seen (and I’m not even 100% sold on them as a band):

I thought for their newer shows, their Red Rocks show last summer was one of their finer moments. It is on archive.org as well. They were firing on all cylinders and the setlist was great. Too bad their recent shows on the main stage have been snoozers, but I agree that the 2009 SOH show was off the charts as well.

They have a boxed set of live shows that has dozens of shows. Probably expensive, but certainly extensive.

There are a lot of great ones on the livedownloads site, http://liverailroadearth.com/ , but the Atlanta show 4/5/14 is a particularly smoking show!

Elko! They are all good though. Hope they are on the bill next year.

Their two most recent albums probably give a better idea of their current repertoire than the older stuff does.

That said, I have all of their albums and they all have highlights. The self-titled album, which is their second most recent, is my favorite.

I think their live show has gotten better every year, and it’s been neat to see their guys branch out and jump into other acts. Tim, Andy, and John are all rocking musicians and can groove with anybody.
