With great sadness, we mourn one of our own.
The man just never stopped dancing and was always free with a hug and a smile.
Rest in Peace, my friend. :cheers

Dance on my friend, dance on! :woohoo :woohoo :hop :hop :dancing :dancing
I miss you already. I can smile though, thinking of you and my Dan up there dancing in heaven. Last time we all danced together we were wearing ski boots! RIP honey, until we meet again at the big festival grounds in the sky.
As a fellow freak who only knew Pat from our paths crossing at musical events and on the mountain (we were stuck on lift 9 together about 6-7 years ago for an hour above where The Plunge intersects with the bottom of Spiral Stairs … they actually gave all of us a free single day lift ticket as we unloaded at the top of the lift), I hope that whatever moved him to move here in this reality is also moving him now in the same positive light/spirit wherever he might be.
Breakin a move for Pat? I’m in!
He was just this bright light even in the sun. :flower :cheers Part of the family indeed. I think they have huge dance floors in heaven however :flower
Here’s the article from the Telluride Daily Planet about ‘Dancing Pat’ Morris.
Our hearts also go out to the family of the ice climber that was killed Sunday on Bridal Veil Falls. Folks, y’all be safe out there. Remember, the buddy system :woohoo :woohoo is better than no system at all. :thumbsup

We know there’s an angel up there dancing with you Pat and we’ll all throw down a jig in your honor this June. :thumbsup
This makes me very sad. I found out the news when someone posted “rest in peace” on my YouTube video. It was fun trying to find him in the crowd every year and try to get a video clip of him cranking out the hippie dance moves.
I remember sitting up in front of the soundboard and behind Pat one day several years ago. We were all sitting there enjoying the show and enjoying watching him dance. At the song break he turns around, smiling, of course, and yells at all of us sitting on our butts and says “Hey, you guys, down in back!” :lol
I’ll never forget that line. I’m gonna use that line and think of Pat whenever I’m dancing in front of someone who is sitting down.
I never got to know him, but I sure am gonna miss him.
I’m looking forward to reading Y’alls ditties for our Brother in Zion. I Love that man Pat. Cause he could say and do what he wanted, of course that may have gotten him in a spot of trouble. Somehow I feel He’ll come around again. I am feeling sorrow for the driver of the bus, the hot dog stand guy, and everyone present there, at the Court House where Pat passed that Sat/ Sun night/ morning. I’ll miss you at every Bluegrass; there might be a really wet corner of a tarp, where I and I can offer a little drink to our deceased, front and center, though I think better at a quite spot where he might also recline. Perhaps a large bucket/ clean trash can off the back corner of the bleacher/ diamond on the hill over there. Maybe the Court Hs. is a better spot to pour a little, Liquor laws . . . I’m not in tears yet, though the thought,“ya bastard,” came to mind and I’m a little wet. Anyhow, Thanks for hearing me mutter, murmur, and shout like a bear. Thank you Pat for behaving how and saying what I wanted, when I wasn’t able, or when I didn’t have to. Well, I’m rambling, thank you Pat for rambling. I’m Thankful I had the time, and peace of mind, to listen. WHAT? He was a pain, an embarrassment; sometimes I’m not enough of either. Perhaps I have polluted the tenor of this forum, for that I must apologize. I never meant to bring anybody down, unless they were asking to be talked down. Or perhaps stood on me. I saw Pat turn the other cheek quite a bit, not everybody knows so much, holds back that many opinions, not everyone is able to carry the burdened, especially alone. Perhaps he had more faith than I, I couldn’t say. I’m just writing what comes to mind, perhaps I need an editor, “oh wifeypooh.” That damn spirit of Alcoholic can be so pervasive. Just told he was a degreed Restaurant Manager w/ rest. start-ups through-out the country, all in a “very good,” Telluride Daily Planet article. That was not a commercial plug, and this is not levity. Melissa, look forward to seeing you. Pat’s Children, I’m sorry I wasn’t there with him. Not that I would have necessarily been of any help, I hope I wouldn’t have lied down with him. WE LOVE YOU!
I just tried to copy the smiley off Telluride Tom, please look up, or down, for said smiley reference, insert here. Thanks moderators for this memorial/ celebration, festevarians everywhere, and anyone else who could edit these two sentences out and insert said smiley dancing pants, or better, in due time. If I missed anyone I am sorry for that.
Oh no, not Patrick too. We lost Adam in November. I see that the “Dancing Hippie” youtube was posted. Here’s another youtube video - one I shot of Patrick and SRK in 2007. The Festival and Telluride will miss these colorful people long into the future; I know I will. http://youtu.be/pgn0f-s075g
:angel
I’m thinking we all need to have a “flash mob” dancing jig to honor Pat on the first day of the festival this year. What do you say about everyone getting up and dancing in his honor at 4:20 Thursday? :thumbsup
:thumbsup
Dancing Red Tye-Dye Shirt Day??? Everyone Front & Center at 4:20?
I LIKE IT!!! :thumbsup
Auntie Hope
I lost my Procion dye collection, and paraphernalia, somewhere between then and now. Could someone organize a dye party in Town Park Camp week before, with-in schedule?
If so we could plan ordering x number of second T’s, or firsts, dyes, rubber bands plastic bags . . . etc. chip in or ask for donations. Maybe order 20% more for those who may become interested between now and then?
PERFECT!
We’ll never get his dance moves down, but we CAN demonstrate his enthusiasm!
Are you playin a joke on me? :lol :lol Clueless about the flash mob thing appearently :rolleyes
Will there be a practice? :lol I’ll trow down a move for the gipper TTom. You first :lol
The only thing that makes it a “Flash Mob” is that we’ll all do it together at 4:20. :concert
No practice! Just get out there and dance like Pat would have. :dance
You can do it alone, or together. :dancing
